As stated, in the escort game mode, the enemy has to essentially camp ontop of one of the sensor towers, with a single ecm enabled mech, and the entire enemy team is now untargetable, unlockable, and immune to streaks and lrm's.
It's now the meta. And it was quickly established.
Beagle active probes have no effect on this variety of ecm coverage, tag lasers also have zero effect on allowing target acquisition. Even the almighty PPC cannot turn this particular variety of annoyance off. All this added to the random nature of the quick play modes inability to avoid the new escort mission game type has all but eliminated any build that had locking weapons.
It is coming across as a mite unbalanced.

I feel making it TAG, NARC, counter-ECM, and PPC-able would be sufficient.

Being able to knock out a towers ability form a PPC hit, even if only few a few seconds would help.

If the tower is in enemy hands, the ECM on the mech will be cancelled until it's captured, won't it?
If the tower is friendly, the mech will receive the tower's ECM, and its ECM won't matter.
So technically, any mech can do this almost as well. The only time ECM comes into play is the 5 seconds when the tower is neutral. (Unless I'm wrong, which has been known to happen.)

New player here. I have noticed that the sensor towers don't seem to be capturable and can influence a game markedly. Are they capturable, destructible, usable? If so, how?

Capture them like intel points in scouting mode. Stand in proximitry.

i dont think the ecm towers and turrets are needed in the new assault mode, however i DO think they would be perfect if placed in and around the spawn points in faction warefare, both invasion and quickplay maps.

Make it an object and make it destructible. Enemy has some friendly has some. Leave the ecm, if you want but I should be able to hit it with 3 PPC shots from range and destroy it. Things that are captured are ridiculous. Things that are destroyable are realistic.
