I honestly didn't read most of that. Learn grammar and don't talk like you'd text as an 11 year old girl then I'll re-read it.

There is nothing simple about the situation, and you're spewing downright false facts.

First off, I have not seen ANY pony spam on any thread except possibly a couple photos in the meme thread. There's a big difference between pony spam, and being frustrated of seeing the word, "pony."

This is the second forum I've seen allegations of people spamming ponies on, and this is also the same second forum that, like the first, keeps anything pony related to one thread.

Let's be clear on what spam is. Spam is when members are flooding different topics with pony images in attempts to derail them. Spam is not, "I see ponies in all the places I go."

Ponies are popular. If it's not your cup of tea, then it's not your cup of tea. However, like all things popular, you're going to stumble across it many times on the internet. I don't like Ray William Johnson, yet I see his videos front page every time I go to YouTube. I absolutely despised the, "Take My Hand," meme that flooded DeviantArt, but I didn't go off on a tangent complaining about it.

Just because a (1, singular) topic exists in on off-topic section of this board, does not = spam. If you think it's spam because you can't accept that it's popular, then that's your own fault, but it isn't spam, clear and simple.

Secondly, most of the pony threads that have popped up, such as the, "Pony Hate Thread," "Anti-Pony Thread," "Pony Neutral Thread," and, "Anti-Anti-Pony Thread," would not have existed if people didn't create a topic specifically to rant about people on the forum.

So don't try to spin this on us and say we're responsible for the influx of pony related topics here, because it's pretty much the exact opposite.

Umm...when did I ever say anything about spam? *** are you talking about, good sir???

I know I'm going to get a LOT of flak for this along with people arguing stupid points on both sides....

Why all the hate? I'm not just going by what I've seen on the forums, but what I've seen on the forums is partially influencing this.

Are people just flipping **** because they don't understand why somebody would see a more animal side to them or watch a TV show that they dont fit the audience for? I am a brony, and I've been called many things including a "gay menace to society that has nothing to contribute by sitting in my mother's basement.". I mean really, are people just so ignorant that they hate what they can't understand and decide to delude themselves to believe a false reality in order to make them feel holier than what they can't understand?

I'm not trying to get anyone to quit hating, I'm just trying to see WHY people are hating. If you hate bronies or furries, tell me why.

Also, I'm not trying to cause trouble, so don't start any. If I've said anything offensive, tell me, if you have something that can actually contribute, say it, if you're going to cause trouble and flame me or others then I would please ask you to not say anything at all. Thank you.

IDK, perhaps your post I replied to when you likened what we were doing to, "spewing," and seeing, "more and more pony topics being made," and that's, "why we're hated."

Your allegations: We spew, we create threads, aka = spam.

I think you're reading too much into it. You're definitely really defensive about it. There is a 297 page thread on ponies though. It's not spam, but there it is. It's not an allegation, it's just an objective observation, a non-judgmental fact. Again, I don't hate bronies or furries. It's just kind of a buzzkill when you're in a forum about things as cool as mechs. However, are you alleging that people shouldn't complain about things they don't like? That's kind of the beauty with free speech. You have the right to emblazon ponies on a forum about mechs, but people also have the right to express their disapproval of such topics present in a forum about mechs (providing the webmasters allow it, anyway). For a thread about trying to find out why that is, I am just giving my two cents as to why.

Btw, is there some connection between the name "ares" and ponies? I thought Ares was the god of war. I don't get it.

I have no idea why I like furries or their art I born that way so does my friend. We were like this in chieldhood, in school, in uni and even in work.Do I asking people on street why they do like strippers on clubs or why they like hot souced food.We are all humans and we all have different interests.Point is people lost their sense of respect thank to bad politics.Everyone trying to prove their belief higher and more meaning full then others.

Im not bashing mexican restaurants and turn their table on ground cause I dont like hot souce. It should be applied to entire life.People draw and laugh about furries on corner and those who hate them should mind their own bussiness.Chill abit look at the real girls on beach with their skimpy little bikinis and how they jiggle.Ignore the nerds drawing on table other side.

Anthropomorphic art is not something bad. My best friend's wife is an anthro artist. They even attend furry conventions and stuff like that. He begrudgingly accompanies her and we give her **** about it. She retorts and agrees at the same time, no harm there.

I have heard stories from her though that really creeped me out. One involved an orgy room where they would remain in costume to have sex. A lot of them (from what I've heard) involve really disgusting men and women. The kind of which never bathe and fell from the ugly tree hitting every branch on the way down. She has also told me of people who take their anthropomorphic alter ego as their primary identity. The human they were born as is merely a form they exist in.

So from what I've heard, it's like comic-con but the guys and girls who dress up think they really are their costumed counterparts.

You lost me here. I still maintain that whether offtopic or not, ponies and furries in a MWO forum is a buzzkill in the midst of awesome stuff. A casual glance at offtopic threads here are things like mechwarrior memes, titles of similar nature to mechwarrior, or things like harry potter vs battletech. And then I see ponies and furries that are just way out of left field.

Earlier I listed a a pile of topics that have nothing to do with BT/MW, noting that you haven't popped in on a single one of those threads to hate on them for being "off-topic"; to date, I haven't seen you address that point. Many, many topics on the Off Topic and Jettisoned Communications forums have nothing to do with BT/MW, nothing at all, yet you single out ponies and furries exclusively for your ire. So clearly your objection isn't irrelevance to BT/MW

Simple answer to the OP's question is People in general are ignorant.

Ignorance breeds hate and fear. People hate what they do not understand and fear that your life choices will affect them or their children in a way that is foreign to them.

I do not watch MLP, and I am here for MW:O, and would prefer not to see MLP, furry posts etc, but free speech is king, so we will see them either way.

I can not say I "hate" Bronies/Furries, but I do feel that the publicly viewed majority tend to be a bit too fanatical about their lifestyle. I have no issues with someone liking MLP etc, but please keep it under control and prevent yourselves from jamming your beliefs/lifestyles down others throats as it brings you to the same point as "holier than thou" religious fanatics.

Chances are this post will inflame the ignorant as expected, so if you feel like you are being targeted by my words, chances are you are one of the majority of ignorant people that have been pointed out here. Feel free to flame away if you feel the need to rage about it.

Yeah, my objection isn't irrelevance to BT/MW. I thought we already covered this. Try figuring out what you're arguing against before you spout a self-righteous tirade.

How about the haters stop thinking that our one pony thread is jamming it down their throats?

How about you direct your question to the haters and ask why they come in our thread and shove their hatred in our faces?

How about you ask the haters why they make hate topics directed at very members of this community?

And if you feel I am, "ignorant," how about you link me to some proof of our pony fans shoving the show in people's faces outside of the designated thread?

And no, these threads do not count.

I assume you're twisting my posts around and maybe have meant to reply to me, but meh, whatever. I know you won't believe me when I say that I don't hate ponies and furries, but I know you'll interpret it that way. In a side twist, I will say that people have the right to hate as much as they want. While that may sound "ignorant" to you, it's actually an enlightening part of the human condition that we are free to express ourselves how we want. You can either grow a thick skin, or you can be bitter about it. I think Ghostbusters 2 said it best when:

That line might be delivered somewhat sarcastically, but you really have to appreciate what it represents, especially in the original context it was delivered in.

This is the fanatacism I spoke of. This poster feels that I was targetting bronies when I specifically defended their right to free speech. Ignorance is bliss my friend and you appear to be rather blissful.

It's just my opinion but I'm going to say, "Male posturing."

It's a guy thing.
You guys are always establishing your positions in the hierarchy.
You accomplish something, you brag about it..
You see a weakness in another guy, you ridicule it.

But it seems what you guys hate the most, (Ridicule the most), is when you see another guy who won't play the whole hierarchy game like he's supposed to. Bronies and furries, by embracing their "Un Manly" hobbies, have rejected the game, at least in part. And that seems to **** some of you off no end.

It's OK to obsess on something "Manly." Anything competitive, or involving guns or loud engines seem to be safe bets, but a guy who likes something "girly" is, by default, rejecting the game that the other guys seem to think is the most important.

Anyway, that's my theory.

You're evading the question, just how you are also evading Catamount's question.

You say we get hate because we start multiple topics and push our crap everywhere, yet nobody is able to show any proof of that.

You say ponies don't belong in the off-topic sections, yet you do not complain about other topics that are also not related to BT/MW.

And no, my name has nothing to do with ponies, or the god of war.

Edit: And also no, I was not replying to you above.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that the right to free speech involved deliberately insulting other members of the forum.

Just in this very reply itself, you are calling me a fanatic, but I will admit that's a bit lesser than the accusations of being a pedophile, man-child, furry, horse-f***er, autistic, retarded, chris chan, yiffer, clopper, neckbeard, and quite a few more from people who have come into OUR thread to insult us.

Is that your idea of free speech?

Still waiting on that proof btw.
