"So using new metrics of the # of T1 Unit players in Clan vs IS - will use this data to do some tonnage adjustments in FP from now on"

Excellent, great start, I have installed it but never used it and am a bit old so will take a few minutes to work it out.....

Discord is gross.
One of the six IS house TS owners should convert their TS over to an all IS TS server. That would really help.
Really think we need to unify TS now that the factions are unified. Just been in the Davion TS and there are probably about 20 people in there but they are all in one of the one million channels in about 8 separate groups, why arent they fighting together?

I'm glad that people that don't have a clue where we're out or how we got here have all the answers.
Just because I dont have a clue about the past, doesnt mean I cant have an opinion on the present. Whilst I respect anything that has gone on in the game so far, the only thing I give a toss about now is how we improve this game for everyone.

Appreciated and if that needs doing that is what we have to try and do, engage with new players and get them to learn. The bottom line is that you can blame PGI for whatever you want but the player base has to take some of the responsibility to sort it out too. We need to unify what IS players are here, find those with the cajones to try and muster a fight back. If a few of the good merc sides want to help the game and switch over then excellent. It is in everyone's best interests.

Otherwise there aren't many/any IS teams with 12 people active at once, save HHOD sometimes.
Trying to make a 12man with the bugs with tonnage, right from patch day none the less, was a real kick in the nuts to an otherwise very exciting proposition of some invigorating CW.
Really took the wind out of the sails as it were.

1/ Get a unified TS, having 6 different TS channels all with 3 people in isnt any use to anyone
Finally, IS pug players, ask santa for a bloody mic for Christmas........
what if all the individuals who run the teamspeak servers just merged them into one, with rooms for each fation, and the unit rooms at the bottom. then they could split the cost of hosting it 6 ways and itd be cheaper, heck, id donate to a one server solution.... it aint fair to ask 6 guys to run 6 ts servers all by them lonesomes for no one to actually be using them 80% of the time. one big teamspeak with the same rooms and we get the word out to the puggles. no more trying to remember a teamspeak adress you saw, then alt f4 to the ts to try and copy it down before you forget. one spot stop. you wont have to ts jump anymore either, one big location. i like that idea, but for it to work the others would need to be taken down, otherwise its 7 ts servers now, instead of one consolidated one. maybe just use comstars ts? idk the solution.
and also, it would be nice if pgi would promote the community teamspeaks in game, so that people coming into faction warfare would know were to start, especially because most of them dont check the forums, so they need to be told in game about it.

Very true. However, as horribly flawed as the PSR system is, one doesn't accidentally T1 if you are all sorts of awful. Even with Clan tech. There's a certain limit on just how bad you can be and still advance. Further, in both Tukkayyid events, the Clan pilots had higher Elo players (as we used the Elo system then), on average.
However, as I said in other threads, potato vs potato, Clan derps have several unfair advantages against enemies who don't armor roll, fail to utilize terrain well, and cannot hit a paper bag if they were in it. CSSRM6 spam against those who cannot aim is vicious, and the longer exposure/duration of Clan weapons get to do their full impact on people who don't mitigate damage by armor rolling or stick to terrain. Most of these advantages straight up vanish up at the higher levels of play, however, as there are counters to most of the issues that stump bads.
It means that the average potato player for Clans has higher paper stats than the average potato IS player. It bumps the average PSR Tier, or Elo, or whatever skill ranking of the month up, because our truly bad pilots can lean on broken mechanics to do all their work for them. Until they face the harsh reality of enemy pilots who know what they are doing and tear them limb from limb - as they should.
TL;DR:
There's an issue of balance at the low skill end of the spectrum. Too easy to be a Clan potato against IS potatoes. However, it is mostly balanced towards the high end of the skill spectrum.

This is not an post about whether or not the game is balanced or fair, life isn't balanced or fair. Sometimes life is the most interesting when your back is against the wall and you have two choices;
1/ Bend over and take a swift one to the starfish
2/ Fight back against the odds
Today I had the pleasure of being part of a 12 man group, made up of players from all over. We ran around 8 FP games and won 6 of them. Because we had leaders, communication, spirit and plenty of jaffa cakes. It can be done and it is bloody great fun when you do it, it just needs more people to believe it can.
So IS are you going to sort your sh*t out? If so the following would be a good start;
1/ Get a unified TS, having 6 different TS channels all with 3 people in isnt any use to anyone
2/ Reach out and talk to the merc units out there, come up with some sort of plan, coordinate something other than moaning on here
3/ Actually, good point, who is in charge here??
You might be right, this war might be lost, the game might be unfair and please continue arguing about it until something in done. In the meantime though we can go down fighting?
Finally, IS pug players, ask santa for a bloody mic for Christmas........
LOL. Suck a {LT-MOB-25}.
There are noobs and there is matchmaker. Not a good combination and only gotten worse bc of the buckit, bugget, whatever it is called system.
An then there is the merc cancer. Cant help but notice that mercs shapeshift way too fast and then they are wondering why noone is around.
We drop and we keep facing mechs that are snipy poky laserness that even clan noobs can manage to handle. However IS pugs cannot and every pug definitely needs to get some basic skill to be allowed into FW. I didnt touch CW, FP, FW til i got at least a year of experience in quickplay. it is different than fp but you gotta train piloting before jumping into FW anyway AND dont come with a trial dropdeck, especially those IS mechs are crap. clans however are not. look at the friggin is trials omg. I am salty atm. YES.
IS sort your **** out? - LOL. LÖL. LÄL. LÜL.

yes there surely is not with this attitute. Op has the better attitude.
But Russ' idea of using t1 palyers, lol, so epople who play mostly only FW where no PSR exists will suddenly not count unless they spent a few hundret games in Qp? thats bad logic.
