CW is another story (was fun , now the spawn camp is real again , this time on regular maps) ...... PGI has ruined this game in so many ways with the last couple of updates. Just by not really thinking things through. FIRE ALL THE YES MEN AND GET REAL OBJECTIVE EMPLOYEES . Clearly they are taking PGI for a ride and do not care about the end result!
Any comments , put them below!

People complain defenders never win.
I think it boils down to not being a total moron and playing well.

The mode is even more dependent on having non-trash pugmates. I personally will not vote for it in solo-q.

In solo queue it is still too new and the pugs have no idea what to do. You still get people thinking they can be 'the super sniper' on the defending team and I even had a game yesterday where my whole team watched me and the VIP Atlas YOLO into a firing line that then couldn't understand why we lost. The attackers sometimes split up all over the map and try to engage the deathball two and three at a time. I watched a pilot that was so obsessed with getting to 'his sniper spot' he allowed a turret to gank his Summoner.
I think once the mode has been out a while the gameplay will get better in the solo queue. But it may take some time.

I've only played about ten Escort missions so far, so bear that in mind. Of those 10, I'd say 6ish as a defender. Those were fun mostly, as the battle kept moving as opposed to static poptaring etc. There has been actual tactics involved, wich I like very much (allthough s**k at). For example, the main force engaging the attacker some time as a small escort provide cover for the VIP. Only lost one Escort mission as a defender.
As an attacker, oh boy. Only won once, and that was a fluke. By pure (un)luck me and my lancemate stumbled in front of the enemy. My Atlas was decimated by the enemy. My teammate managed to spot and destroy the VIP while the enemy was pummeling my poor mech to pieces. If I hadn't tried to flank (read: wandered off aimlessly) we would never have found the VIP in the firs place.
I think the turrets add nothing but frustration. They should be the first to go.

Let's be real: in the solo Q in boils down to how many ****ters the PGI RNG decides to stack on your team VS the enemy team, assuming you yourself are a decent player.

Had 7 "teammates" last night, didn't break 100 damage.
Out of that 7, 5 didn't break 50.
2 held down the alpha button on steering wheel and just moved the wheel around and missed literally EVERYTHING.
Could not log out fast enough.

I think you guys are jumping the gun. I've heard the argument for an escort mission since day 1. PGI admits they're watching the mode to monitor VIP health. Like the OP argued, it might help to have a multiple targets to keep the enemy from focus firing as efficiently, but in the end it would likely be the same health pool. they did add some kind of towers which sounds cool and could be useful. For as badly as they ****** up domination, this mode really doesn't sound so terrible, especially considering it's brand new and hasn't been tweaked at all yet. It sounds like the Atlas has multiple paths which is key. Maybe it needs more of them, or should react when under fire. But really, how much can an Atlas evade fire? Scouts actually seem to be a huge help. And as a light that's a ton better than standing in squares. I think everyone should chill out a little and try to help dial this mode in, it sounds interesting.

They don't actually communicate though, what actually happens in the solo Q in my experience is the defending team just does their usual thing as usual and sometimes the VIP dies because no one gives a **** about it and they wandered off to god knows where no matter how much you yell into VOIP.
