I've been gone from the game for a couple of years. At the time of my departure, the game was in a bad state, and wasn't really fun to me. UI 2.0 was clunky as hell. Brawling wasn't an option because everyone was guass/ERPPC sniping every game. and to me, the game was generally boring. So i took a prolonged break.
I just wanted to say to the Devs:
Thanks for letting us vote on levels now.
Thanks for letting us choose modes now, and to have more than 2 options
Thanks for taking the time to reconstruct levels and revamp them (although the drop points for Frozen City/ Forest Colony are kinda 0_o )
Thanks for giving us the option to automatically refill consumable modules
Thanks for giving the option to call out targets without a headset or typing out a full sentence while in full pilot
Thanks for resizing the catapult
Thanks for fixing most of the clunkiness of UI 2.0
Thanks for adding several more maps that are unique from the previous released maps
Thanks for letting us get back into the match we were disconnected from when we get disconnected
Only cons:
I still disconnect (seldomly (from the client crashing))
UI still takes a bit of familiarization and buying mechs with or without CB is clunky
Drop points for Frozen city/ Forest Colony.. seriously O_o
Thanks PGI even though this community is super ******* tiny and berate this game a lot, From a person that took a break for a while, the changes are monumental. Thanks for continuing to work on this game and let us Mech warriors battle it out. See you in the Rift.

I'm not even going to list the things wrong with the game at this point, everyone knows, and there's a reason very few of them are still playing, and less still paying. But there will always be a white knight for every topic, making those that do wrong feel like they're justified, and thus the cycle will never end.

BattleTech fans and MechWarrior fans are 2 distinctly different player camps. I have little interest in the upcoming BattleTech game, and have all the enthusiasm in the world for MechWarrior developments.

And yet here you are~
You already know the childlike mentality of people who use the term white knight. They way he used it specifically falls on fallacious grounds, and fallacies are the problem of many people on this forum. Ladies and gentlemen, you are not supposed to use them, they do not help, they only hinder you.
so yea, here he is, and he will justify some reason why he hangs around.

I think you missed the part where I basically said that, despite being a drastically different game, it'll be a better MechWarrior game than MW:O.

I haven't seen this sort of *** kissing in a long time.
Now, here's my list of cons that I can think of off the top of my head.
- No colorblind support. 4 years after release. Seriously.
- Optimization still being godawful.
- Balance between IS/Clans and Meta/Non-meta mechs still being extremely wonky.
- Being able to vote for maps. Bring back random maps.
- The minimap getting turned into an unusable mess for me.
- Lack of communication outside Twitter, a few good souls like Mark Nicholson.
There's more that I'd love to throw out, but they're long term issues like old broken promises. Do I have hopes and like where things look like they're going from MechCon? Sure! But acting like there aren't problems, or that people who make legitimate complaints are just "haters", or "entitled" makes my blood boil.

The Balance Underling buffed MGs, so hope is higher than it was
Still not buying...unless it's a Piranha
Which doesn't get MGs nerfed.

Yep. PGI might be able to take a peek at my wallet if they buff the last of the trio of suck--the LBX.

Nonsense. Many folks recognize that wonderful job PGI has done with their place holder mode of Quick Play. It is a fun stompy robot shooter. For myself, I reserve most of my disgruntled troll like commentary toward PGI and the way they have developed what they once identified as their "immersive end game content" known once upon a time as Community Warfare.
That, and the dart board of balance. I still want to see the data showing that the Quickdraws were so OP as to requires two nerfings since rescale, or that the Jester was OP and needed its structure nerfed, or that the UAC performance of the Enforcer 5P and Shadow Hawk 3M was so over the top that they needed a smack down, or that the Grasshopper 5J really needed its smacking with the nerf bat...yeah that sort of stuff does inspire the troll commentary too I guess.
Oh, and the mixed messages of what they want in regards to the game play. PGI: "This month we propose a new Energy Draw system to limit alphas and increase time to kill...wait never mind...this month we're buffing heat sinks so mechs can alpha more." Yeah, that kind of stuff brings out the disgruntled commentary too.
And then there is the whole...
Never mind. You're right.
