Is the question for Mech #16? Then I'd guess no, but if it is for will the Banshee eventually be included, then yes.

I am guessing you meant for this to be a reply to one of the dozen other "what mech is next?" threads, rather than a whole new thread.

Anyway, it's been said again and again that the Banshee, like the Charger, only has one worthwhile variant pre-3050. In a game without melee, nobody would buy a non-S Banshee. Ever.

Id love to see the Banshee in MWO as it has been left out of a lot of MW titles. Im not as familiar with canon and when certain mechs existed during which time frames but im sure thats why u dnt see the banshee in a lot of later MW titles. I played the old Multiplayer Battletech games and the banshee was in those games and it kicked ***.

But the Banshee with the hatchet was also a -S variant, so people would probably only use the main variant (if not the -3S) until they unlocked the -3S (which I would assume to be the first variant unlocked).

You know what the Banshee is great at? Pummeling smaller mechs to scrap. We can't pummel (though we can charge) and it can't jump, so all it has left is a PPC, an AC5, and a small laser. mmmm..... nah.

Unless they're gonna use the 3050 version with the XL engine, it's gonna be the most anticlimactic assault mech they could pick (aside from maybe the 3025 Charger). Honestly I'm hoping for the Highlander or maybe the Victor, or another jump capable assault mech. I have a good feeling about the Highlander though, because it would round-out the assault class pretty well at 90 tons and jump capability. You could also use it to death from above light mechs, which would be pretty hilarious. Also the Victor lacks long range options in its default loadout, and will end up playing more like a bigger, better armored, jump capable Hunchback.

I'm game for some Zeus, but I'd love to roll up the Banshee since it too is one of my favorite IS designs.

It's not how many weapons you have that count, but if you can fire them constantly,effectively, efficently.
