So ive been a long time fan of this game for a while and still this game is having the same fundamental problems and compounded terrible design decisions that solves absolutely nothing!

Sick and tired of it. Im out here in rural parts of Washington state in the usa. We do not have the best internet because Comcast has a monopoly. They over charge for terrible service and they throttle the connection constantly. We literally have the highest package available to non business and im still getting throttled and ever FREAKING time this game has absolutely no safety net to wait for players like me for a few moments and reconnect me in match a few moments later.

Instead when comcast throttles me im COMPLETELY ejected from the game logged out and everything! Do you see how hard it is to play this game with a clan or to even attempt clan and competitive play? Extremely difficult, no make that impossible to do. At one point i could be defending from a CW first wave attack, or half way through im standing there looking like an ******* because i got Dc'ed because this game isnt coded to help along players that get throttled by their internet provider when we have no control over it.

I literally pay 400$ a month to get internet but im the ******* here according to the early disconnect penalty i get when ever i even attempt to play this game anymore. There is nothing i can freaking do about it but here i am holding up clan mates again because your game is designed so bad against people with bad net. Im even connected to my modem with wlan cat6 ethernet cables i cant do any better unless google fiber shows up in my town.

All the while you guys can some how are able to gather enough money to invest and develop a whole other game on the side?! How about this PGI. Fix your net code, remove your stupid penalty trash that solves nothing, and invest in some better servers to host this game! I've played alot of online games in the past 2 decades! Servers of good quality make an extreme difference. And I for one know that the servers you have a trashy and your net code sucks too

Did you contact support?

I had problems with Time Warner back in 2014-15 and i think PGI went to bat for some of us. Things got a bit better after that.

Raging on the forums about crappy ISP wont fix much.

You're paying Comcast 400 dollars a month. For internet.

And you're mad at PGI.

...ok.

Seriously though, there's something dreadfully wrong here, but I'm doubtful it's on PGIs end, and even if it is, it's likely a routing error that you really need to report on. That **** is impossible to predict - ISP to server service connections are a nightmare. You really need to make some calls, and you REALLY need to stop paying 400 a month for internet.

For comparison, by the way, I'm fairly certain I have the worst internet of all the continental US players here on the forum, and my connections stable, just slow.

On a less serious note...

Not sure if OP understands what "embezzlement" really is...

I think it's collusion between PGI and Comcast just so you get DC'd and penalized. I think Jessie Ventura did a webisode on this. You can't see it though, because Comcast...

Wait, you have sh*tty overpriced internet, amd thats somehow PGI's fault? I understand your pain with unreliable service, but that has nothing tobdo with PGI

Yeah, the OP is clearly directing his anger at the wrong party. His attribution is akin to blaming the crappy movie he saw on the manufacturer of the car he drove to the theater.

Your ISP sucks bro, and is fleecing you too. I suggest creating a resistance group and firebombing their infrastructure. Or you know, finding another ISP or if that's not possible playing a different game for a bit.

Not sure if troll or similarly plagued kindred spirit. Will assume the latter.

Contact support and at that 400 a month your claiming that SHOULD BE Business class internet, Period. Comcast / Verizon / AT&T i've dealt with support on these guys before some is good some is **** awful usually just depends on when you call / whatever. If nothing else, maybe they can get some form of explanation on what's actually going on.

I know my verizon on occasion (about once / twice a year) gets a contact from me telling them to redo the backend on their side because my connection starts tanking, its usually around may when it happens.

I feel your pain dude, rural USA is ignored a lot by ISP's and when one does come, its quality is usually all you get. Condolences.

i had similar problems. it turned out to be a combo problem, partially my providers fault, partly bad hardware on my end.

id recommend contacting customer support, they're awesome and should be able to sort out most of it. until then, i reccomend lowering graphics as much as possible, and making sure your hardware is ok.

they dont have the power to bring down an internet providers monopoly though... so... if thats the only isssue, then blame comcast, not pgi.

400 USD just for internet? Don't you have DSL or satellite in your area?

I understand the OP problem I went through months of poor connection

but I place the blame on the FCC

Google fiber was going to be a shinning light but they backed off and fired the guy that was running it

right now things in the USA are going backwards (thanks to the FCC) because companies are allowed to
buy up other companies which kills competition

of course the news hardly reports any news any more they are still butt hurt over the election

quoted for truth

Contact your ISP, very often its not just one but a few things and if you deal with your ISP (which can take days, weeks, maybe a month) open a ticket, go through the procdure, try some new equipment, etc. im sure you can figure it out.

And at $400 i would be very upset, I managed to get a better connection at the same price because they were "guaranteeing" me speed that was impossible for me to get here no matter how they tried with my shaggy old stuff. So they doubled it and instead of paying $189 I pay $139 because they never made good on the first deal and gave me what i paid for in the first place so after replacing my modem, router and lines it is great now. I actually get advertised speed and they never even adjusted the bill to what the postged price is. Its still $139, $50 dollars cheaper then joe blow pays because i took the time to deal with them nicely i guess. I have no other explanation for it.

So now on good days i get GREAT service and speed and even on bad days it manageable but it took almost 3 months of calling every single time i had an issue, opening tickets, dealing with customer support, etc. Its not fun but if you want your internet at prices you can afford, deal, haggle, discuss and dont give them a huge lump of sH*t and blame off the bat. Just be nice and cordial but firm, they are people on the other end too and it is the holidays.

Which reminds me, Happy holidays ya'll!

Well it is the Government at fault... more the municpalites cause they are paid off by the ISPs, so Google Fiber had to get so many permits and waivers and other ******** that it became prohibitive to do. Its the very antithesis of the Free Market and why i want kill humanity when all these people complain about "Capitalism", cause there is no capitalism in America anymore just De Facto Socialism

We all agree PGI has its own problems but this is just ridiculous. Everything you need to do has been suggested. Maybe more details on what that $400 a month entails like hardware, connection speeds up/down and connection type as well as network info and equipment? The only thing not suggested is that you simply just move. If you can't get a stable connection for what you want to play and you have the best equipment for it then maybe you shouldn't be playing. I know I had to quit MWO shortly after beta because my equipment and connection couldn't handle it but that is nothing to do with the game or the company.

What part of WA are you paying $400 for internet? I live in south puget sound and pay no where near that for internet and cable w/extra channels.

That said Comcast can suck a lot (internet was dead for a bit when I got home today) and I've had to batter them over the head to address random slow downs which turned out to be a failing router.

At anywhere near $400 there is NO reason they should be throttling you unless you are transferring a crap ton of files or someones hijacked your wifi and is using it. First step, add/change your network PW.
