I'm curious if anyone asked hard questions and got real answers. Stuff like:
  • PSR trending upward must have been slipped in the game by Lucifer himself, it doesn't work and now everyone hates you, why don't you fix that ****?
  • We all know that tier 5s get in tier 1 matches, how can you sleep at night?
  • We know you're Canadian, but is Ghost Heat the best you can do?
  • The Long Tom..... Jesus hates you for that, was that a bet to see if you could actually kill the game?
What hard questions did you guys ask them? Or were you too busy kissing but? I would have liked to have gone, but I like warm weather, and sitting in a cold Canadian jail on murder charges just doesn't sound like fun.

Edit: And most importantly, why does my MLX have UAC quirks? Why in the hell do you do that to me PGI?

It didnt seem like the questions were loaded. Much of the q n a session was taken up by idiots who just kept talking, confused themselves, then never really asked a clear coherent question. It was pretty sad.

Reminds me of some of the people involved in the FP roundtable. It was like listening to a conversation with Abe Simpson.

I was to busy playing 4V4 to really experience the Long Tom

just seemed funny that these top teams drop and kick the crap out of pugs with there super duper Mechs
and all there arty and air strikes why did would they be bothered by the long tom

PGI has good ideas but are not so good at selling them
a true energy draw system would solve a lot of problems (they did a modified heat system instead)

My questions:

Is there a technical reason why there is no written descriptions of the mechs or their characteristics anywhere in the actual game. and if not why are there no descriptions provided, as this would seem to not only be a reasonable and low cost/effort addition to make to the game but one that might also dramatically improve the new player experience?

Would you please provide a short vision statement of what you hope to accomplish with the CW mode both within the short term of the coming year but over the longer term as well?

Given the state of balance and the ebb and flow of the meta, would you please explain the logic or reasoning for PGI's broad based quirk adjustments to entire weapon systems that often seem to negatively impact under performing mechs as much if not more so than over performing mechs; in other words: is there a reason for not utilizing focused quirk adjustments directed to individual mech variants based on the data at your disposal?

What, if anything, can we as a player and/or customer community do to encourage PGI to provide more, and more diverse types of maps?

In this day and age of twitter, reddit, youtube, etc. can you please expound on PGI's rationale for why it puts effort into an official forum, particularly given the extreme rarity that PGI staff actually engage or participate in its stated function of providing a forum for constructive discussion of the game?

Would you please expound on the progress PGI is making toward the balance goal stated in 2015 that all mechs are to have equivalent value, regardless of their roles, down to the individual variant level; or if that is no longer a goal of the game balance/value mechanic, please explain what if any balance goals you realistically believe can be achieved in both the immediate future and over the long term and how?

Think I would have gotten any answers?

A serious question for those of you whom attended MechCon 2016. If any of you personally interacted with members of PGI staff like Russ, Paul, Tina or Lauren, what were they like in person? It's easy to express hatred and hostility towards a name online but once you actually meet them, how do you feel? Does your opinion change or is Russ still an idiot, Paul still a Balance Overlord, Tina still a Silent Moderator and Lauren a Giant Artist? (Seriously, she looks like she's 6'2!)

I like the question about long term goals for additions to the game or at least faction play. Like what is next? 4.2? Whats in it?

Sums it up great. Goes for NGNG, guests, other attendees - never met a single person that day that was unpleasant.

PS - Lauren is very tall, but tall like a Queen. :P

No Bud, people have been crying out for JJ buffs for over a year now and the closest the community has had in all that time for an answer, was a few words from Russ stating we can't just change it in a week, which everyone, but an illiterate ox already knew

Yeah, if you ask loaded questions like that, no-one is going to bother responding to you. Especially with the wording "...and now everyone hates you".

If I had been there, I would have asked some questions that honestly, nobody seems to to want answered. For example, when are Light mechs going to get buffed, and why have they been so heavily nerfed?

As a Canadian, I would ask that the OP not be such a "D-Bag" in future postings. As an aside, Has the OP seen the very short list of Games to come out of the Philippines... LOL!

That's only because i wasn't attending the con.

I'm a horribly unpleasant person. Positively obnoxious.

Yeah next time I hope that they can have somebody prep the questioners. And add a bit more structure coherency to the process.
