After playing several hours last night and this morning, keeping an eye out for FP Conquest, I finally see it open up. I jump in the a match, we lose by only 14 points (we had a DC from the start) and by the time the match is over it's already past Conquest. How are we supposed to get this freaking 10th day of Mechmas done when we can at best do 1 match every 8 hours, assuming we're awake and not at work for that brief period that FP Conquest is open? I pointed out days ago that trying to catch the exact match type was going to be ridiculous and now that it's happened it was indeed exactly as expected.

I have played a whopping 11 escort matches since it came out, i missed that one too. Its not the end of the world.

If the rewards were any better i would agree with you but they're kind of like "extra" stuff. If it works out its good if not it really doesn't matter.

I agree totally with OP. I never got an assault mission for the Escort day. Never won a Skirmish FP match. Today, no conquest at all. I've complained in the event second of the forums, but still, no word from them. I'm sure same kind of thing will happen on the last day for Assault FP day. At least they should just use Match Points. If we get the 80 or so match points, we get the item, instead of HAVING to win, which is a rarity for IS pugs to do vs clans. Most IS players don't understand how clan mechs work, their range, how they run hotter, etc. So we lose and will never get the win for the items.

ps. I love the events, I just want to be able to finish them and at least have a chance of completing them.

However rewards should be able to be completed. Right Now I don't feel I can complete it. I spent 3 hours last night looking for a Conquest and near 4 hours today. I only have so much time to play.

The challenge is designed to have you play the game more. That is especially true for these RNG challenges like escort attack and win. I played for like 3 hours before the stars aligned and I got my match.

I like the new tug of war system.

I just didn't realise immediately that there was a mode field displaying the current mode (i.e. invasion) on the start faction play screen.

Although we seem to be getting a lot of the same invasion maps popping up. Might just be luck of the draw atm.

Hadn't tried FP in probably 6 months. Just tried it again to see what changed .... and it is such a huge waste of time for a game mode. Just horrid. Definitely won't bother with it for another 6 months.

Yep. Also helps that the rewards for the FP stuff aren't really that great anyway.

I want to play FP, because it's a breath of fresh air to play something that almost resembles something other than team deathmatch, but I don't want to get stomped.

I don't want to dedicate the hour required for forming up the 12-man, required to not get stomped.

I don't want to burn 30 minutes between each match because some guy with kids has to go take one to soccer practice between each drop.

I like the mechwarrior bit. I hate the online bit.
