anyone having issues geting onto steam? i can only get on in offline mode yet my internet is perfectly fine. steam down?

Steam is down all around the world. Might be DDoS issue. http://downdetector.com/status/steam

Hope it gets fixed soon. Don't wanna download so many gigs of files for default MWO client update.

It's the yearly Winter Steam Crash. Happens every year at least once during the Steam sale.

Game and social servers are back up at the moment, though the store front is still boned.

Sadly, it didn't for me - I'd just bought Mad Max on sale (through bundlestars, was $5) and installed via steam last night. But before you can play a game in offline mode you need to start it up at least once with steam online... and steam was down from when I woke up this morning >.<

All better now, but that was really annoying. Thankfully, I'm also working through Dishonored 2 as well right now, so there was that too
