I instantly got chills and made me think of Mechwarrior 2 and all the awesome times in my childhood :D

I prefer the MW4 soundtrack over the MW2 soundtrack (yeah, I know, sue me), so this is more "Mechwarrior-y" IMO.

Definitely. Always liked the 'alien' vibe of the old Mechwarrior games, particularly MW2. It made it feel more futuristic, strange and, well, alien from our modern world. It felt very different from most sci-fi universes. And the low-poly 3D graphics without textures added to that. Every world felt alien.
