[Remains Intact]

Upon inspection I am unable to see the packages on sale, only the vanilla individual chassis (this isn't against what they are advertising, just pointing out i checked the packages section). I am also unable to find the (S) variants that are part of the steam package for sale, If the (S) variants aren't on sale in the in game tab it's false advertisement.

Am I just missing them or are they lying?

You have to purchase it from Steam as "DLC."

I am fully aware that is one option. The other option they spell out is buying from the in game store. That is the option i'm inquiring about. For someone that already has MC, the steam option seems less applicable.

Every mech on sale is in the bottom right box of the Store. If you scroll through them all, I'm sure you will find the relevant mechs.

The packages are not on sale IN-GAME-STORE, it is the basic mech chassis variants that match the package contents. The Assault pack has a (S) special version warhawk and zeus in it which is identical loadout to the (C) champion variants. Thus all the zeus and warhawk basic variants are on sale.

Did ya try clicking the IN GAME STORE SALE TAB! (there is no such thing, its mislabeled, its just the main Store Screen, the one with the promotions) I mean its right there in front of my face, i dunno how you missed it!

Click on the STORE tab in game and that window that pops up with all the mechs that you can scroll sideways, thats every mech on sale right now.

(S) variants are NEVER available for sale via the in-game store. They're only available for direct cash money via the web stores, in this case, the steam performance packs and their mech contents are only available via the steam webstore portal for MWO.

Its not false advertising, its your not comprehending the language correctly. Special (S) editions are not unique variants. They're simply copies of another variant with different camo/colors and a C-bills bonus.

All variants aren't in the described tab. You are sure getting upset about an honest question. I just wanted to know if the variants they said were on sale in game ACTUALLY were on sale in game, or if i was missing them.

It seems like you agree they are falsely advertising. Thanks for the information!

They are not unique they are a copy of the Normal mech (cbill version) with a 30% cbill boost and its not false advertising, please read my post.


The sale only extends to STEAM BUNDLE VARIANTS, your reading comprehension just failed a bit. Its happens to the best of us....

PGI worded it pretty weird. But yes, you cannot obtain the (S) variants through the in-game store tab. However if you are running the MWO Steam client and click on any of the Steam sale announcements it will directly link you to the Steam store page through the Steam overlay where you can purchase the Steam "performance" packs. Perhaps this is what PGI meant.

You can have those mechs, they just dont get the (S) and a 30%cbill boost. They are not a SPECIAL or UNIQUE variant they are the same one you can buy with a CBILL BOOST. Same as the Clan (I) mechs or the Resistance ® mechs, they have been here forever and thats what you get WITH the variant when you buy them with real money. ONE has a 30% cbill boost.


Its the normal version with a 30% cbill boost, you can buy it you just dont get a (S) behind it and dont get the cbill boost if you dont buy it from STEAM.


I said it like 4 times in that post, maybe you will understand now.

Good luck winning this argument in court.

I'm not sure how you could be a member for three years plus and not understand these things yet. (S) variants are not absolutely unique beyond the c-bill bonus. They are NOT locked into specific paint options any longer (and haven't been for at least a year) and there's nothing unique about their hardpoints or equipment.
PGI has been absolutely up front on numerous occasions about the fact that (S) variants are only ever available for purchase for actual money via the web store, and that the Steam performance packs are only available through the steam store.

Sorry, was just looking for one honest post that said PGI either ****** up or is lying, or that I missed the variants in the store. So hard to find.

They are clear with what they say... that you're choosing not to comprehend what performance PARTNERS means is not PGI's problem. When they say all variants from steam bundles, they mean variants of the mech chassis used in the steam bundles. ZEU-6T(S) in the steam bundle is the same load out as the ZEU-6T(C) available via the in-game store for MC (and now half price during the hero/champ sale), but lacks the hot rod camo unlock and colors that come with the steam bundles, and has an permanent XP bonus instead of a C-bill bonus.
