Dear Unsaint,

Sorry for being rude to you over VoIP in game today. The whole situation was unfortunate. I am usually a friendly player, but you got my anger up.

The game in question started out on HPG normally, but I decided to escort a lone Marauder IIC, still in the spawn area, out of the Assault gates. As a direct result of that decision, we were the unfortunate first victims of a horrendous murder-ball orchestrated by the Red Team. My poor Huntsman. Too much ECM to get a lock for my Streaks... only three ER Mediums to defend myself with. I threw up a UAV in desperation and reported to the team the location and composition of the Red Team. We didn't last long, sadly.

By the time the score hit 0-8 I took it upon myself to congratulate the Red Team on their tactics and win. I figured the writing was on the wall. Sadly, your instinct was to tell me to shut up over Team chat. I responded with a hearty 'F-U' for telling me to do that. Then it escalated when you insulted me yet again. I cussed you out over VoIP. The situation only got worse when you questioned my whopping 84 damage and suggested, based on that number, that I am somehow horrible. [Hey, man... I already knew that.] This got me flummoxed, as I had already reported to the team the murder ball that vaporized myself and the Marauder IIC I was with.

So... end result? Neither of us won an internet argument. Our team got smashed 0-12 and it was a rough five minutes. You have reported me for language, and I honestly deserve it. I should have ignored you.

At any rate, have a good Holiday Season and I hope to see you in game again.

Yeah, we all have had days and matches. Although, giving the red team a GG early is not always interpreted as a sportsman's gesture... Let's all just have a happy holidays. Rum* helps :-)

Yup... I imagine that is what set it off. I should have waited until the match was over. This post is as much a cautionary tale as it is an apology to Unsaint.

Greetings, man

Today i've been noticed about your message on a forum, declaring apology for the things, i never deserved. I have to admit a clearly matured and masculine features of your worthy act, and wanted to tender some responding apology to you after my intemperate issue.

Despite the natural, ordinary and quite understandable periodical defeats, my own contributions to the overcoming of which obviously was not enough, I carelessly allowed myself to criticism of the surrounding in the most severe form.

Normally, i try to use some of my strong-in-life managing and officer's skills for a team coordination, layout advices etc for all people interested in to raise friendly team chances for the win, considering the feedback and having much factors in mind, requiring concentration and sufference. Eventually i even have a merit recognition after some inevitable losses if my attitude and patience keeps durability. But periodical stress of a "real" life makes me upset and angry sometimes, forcing the search of a scapegoats for my fatigue and annoyances.

Not sure if those depression times can hardly be an excuse of me, but, honestly, with all the regrets for the further abuse of sarcasm and obscene language i wanted to give u my friendly hand after all.

Dude, you don't know the half of it. If you spent five minutes looking over my Mech builds, you'd waste an entire afternoon looking for pictures just like the above to mock me with.

Except...by the very act of posting this publically...it IS a name and shame, especially when you provided the backstory which might have some folks taking your side. If you just wanted to apologize, the site has this nifty private message feature.

at 0-8 the match is over... at 0-3 at least 98% matches are over, i cant usually tell if the team i am on is going to win or lose before the first shot is even fired on nothing but movement and positioning. but never say GG unless it is GGEZ which would have been appropriate for the Red team in your case... following bad players makes you a participatant in their bad play

It is a Huntsman C with an A Left Arm Omni-Pod armed with 4x SSRM 6, 3x ER Medium Laser, 1x Active Probe.

Unsaint seems to be fine with it. He sent me a friend request in game and we chatted for a bit, reiterated that we were both sorry for the unfortunate incident. I'm glad that he did, too. Maybe we'll group up sometime in the future. If anybody can learn from our interaction, I think it turns into a positive for the community as a whole.
