I will admit the vitriol shown by some in the Brony community (my community) is distasteful at best, and it is wrong of them to come here and spread hatred when they would decry such a thing happening in their thread. This is a place for freely expressing the opinion of those who don't like ponies, or those who support that (such as myself). I ask my fellow ponyfolk to please stop bothering people here. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and with few exceptions these people have been noting but civil untoward us. Aren't we the ones who are supposed to tolerate?

I just hope the actions of the fervent don't taint your opinion of the whole.

It's nice to see someone being reasonable. Too many people seem to think this is some polarizing issue; personally, I think you like the show or you don't, and trying to drown people in your opinion is always unacceptable. For the most part, this thread has maintained "post funny images of ponies getting massacred" without straying into brony-hate or non-brony-hate, which are just as bad as each other. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who can find both the show and making fun of it amusing.

I read knowyourmeme, looked at forums, read ancient texts, consulted with swamis, and still can't find an answer (probably because denial?) to the burning question: are MLP fans actually ENJOYING that stuff, or is it just ammo for meme-ing and trolling the serious bsns forumites the world over? I would so much prefer to believe the latter but I have a bad feeling...

If you mean they actually enjoy anthro/furry art, stories, etc... then yes. If you mean furries as in crazy sexual deviants the media portrays them as, then I would say, there's a minority yes, but practically every fandom has that now a days don't they? There all, mostly, good people just like you'd find anywhere else.
