Quad legged with turrets for self defense baby. Would be a lot more interesting than a boring Fatlas.

Quads and PGI do not mix. For now.

Inverse kinematics would help in making quads a reality.

I think it should be a small armored.hovercar. small target and hard to see. Plus it would.make more sense why it never shoots back.

I'd rather have them playable though.

What? A new Design without beeing able to pre order it for 20 to 70$? Ridiciulous!

Maybe we can sell it.... If the majority of the defenders bought the package the Atlas becomes a Goliath.

I'd prefer a few APC's/Swiftwinds that have Demolishers and Manticores guarding them.

VIP should be on a gold quad bike. He can ride through the enemy formation with nothing but leather pants and an incredible lag shield.

"VIP" should be one of a random set of possibilities. One time it may be the Atlas, another time it may be the Goliath. One time a convoy of armored vehicles. One time a mobile HQ truck, etc.

Make people actually pay attention to the mission briefing.

I think an armored train would have been ideal. That way you can lay track on the map and give players and idea of what routes it might take.

You could also do fun stuff like randomize which car the VIP is in.

You're not the first answer? Shame on you, Juodas!

IMHO, the VIP should:
- Not be called "Very Important Person" because that's a pretty stupid designation for a strategic unit.
- Be an MFB or such

Would be funny for it to have "TEH BIGGEST GUNZ EVA" and never shoot.
(aka "nonsense")
The VIP is not an exceptional combat unit. It is a strategic target.
It could even be an agro mech or a cheep or so.

Perhaps the "VIP" will evolve over time. At least it's a start.

Unless the VIP is going to fire its weapons, I don't think it makes any sense to use a mech.

I'd prefer an armoured vehicle or convoy. Hell, it might even feel a bit more like Battletech and a bit less like a sandbox with lots of mechs in it.

"Yo dawg, I herd u like mechs, so I put some mechs that u can fight for with ur mechs!"
