My KFX-PR has unique camo and color pattern, I do wonder, would those remain there after I would swap colors/camo or are Hero mech camo/colors just one-shot? If they would remain, where to look for them? Also can I use hero mech camo pattern/color on other mechs?

Its always present because its the default pattern instead of gun metal.

it doesn't go away
you can click on restore original pattern/color afterwards
but if you use a one shot camo to paint it, that would be gone
