This is terrible news!

If IS keeps winning, it runs the risk of Russ convincing himself that drop tonnage in some way balances the game, and so no further action is needed.

It doesn't take much (anything?) to convince Russ he's right or that no action is needed ;)

At the moment... it's not going as well. I can take a 12 man and drop for 8 hours during the Oceanic phase, win every single match and still not win the world. My lonely 12 man is only sporadically enough to take a planet..when one or more groups are losing their matches. We've won two phases, but we've tried a total of 6 times.

Now.. there is talk.. rumors of an OPERATION GREAT DANE on the horizon.. but even if that is successful... the reality is there is we currently lack the ability to maintain victory over the long run..

There are too many match wins required in Oceanic. PGI needs to alter that cycle. I'm positive it cannot be that hard to code.

Reduce it 30% or something.

You would need 3 12-mans dropping 7hrs to get it to Invasion based on the win/loss ratio the past week. See what happens once a lot of Oceanic people are back - It's summer and holiday season here.

I ran in 2 different 12mans today for several hours and only lost 1 match.

It's the Davions Dilemma. You can run 2 or even 3 12mans and win non-stop, if there's 3 x12 pugs losing matches in 15 minutes you'll still lose the day. You actually need more coordinated teams winning 90%+ of their matches than you have teams of pugs, because the pugs are losing 90% of their matches.

Look at the scoreboard. Look at Loyalists. There's slews of IS players with 50+ matches and a 0.3 or 0.2 W/L. That's what's happening on Oceanic; there's few IS pugs losing match after match after match, showing up to gorge on the endless buffet of failure that is, apparently, how they love to play MW:O.

This sounds awefully familiar. Seen that a few times in CSJ.

You should join us! I am sure that once we team up the successes will come rolling in! Posted Image

Sounds like Phase 1. All the victorys and still not getting the planet for days after days of combat.

There are as many Valkyries, who serve the Eninherjar in Valhalla, as you can imagine.

And it seems like you are trying pretty hard to not imagine very many of them. Projecting a little bit, eh?
