Urban mechs get +100 per ac 20 ton ammo.
Urban mech gets 50% increased AC 20 Rate of fire quirk.

All Inner Sphere light mobility profiles changed to "light."

PRE-RE-SCALE option for all Light mechs for 5mc per chassis type.

All Panther mechs engine cap now set to 315std or 315xl. Screw that 10-p getting the best engine.

PGI will never figure out how to code ammo switching in this game, under this engine.

That said, I approve of the proposed changes, aside from the IS medium laser changes. I think that would make them too good.

IS get Light Fusion engine

XL Engine receives 4xHP
LF Engine receives 3xHP
Std Engine receives 2xHP

Binary Laser for the IS. My intent is for it to be used primarily for mechs with low hard point count. Probably gate it off for other mechs with a ghost at firing 2.

I would take a step further into the future. But it can get pretty tricky at that point.

Under LFE and with those stats there is no reason at all to take a standard engine.

You forgot that he didn't include the Mad Cat MK II, and didn't nerf Machine Guns enough.

It's a given that if Clan Diamond Shark is in the game, the Mad Cat MK 2 will be in the game. And the Piranha=dartboard immunity for MG's. It's in our contract.

Yeah, even if they upped the HP by a lot. A mech with both sides blown off usually doesn't have enough left to be a big threat. The Centurion used to be the best zombie mech in the game. But with the amount of firepower running around the field now, it's hard to sell the standard engine with the LFE around.

Only if my Warhawk gets -50℅ ERPPC heat generation when I run it with stock pods and the LRM10 rack.

Or simply make them burst fire in non-shotgun mode and follow all the current rules the C-ACs do, with the new pellet damage (1.12). This way they are a jamless alternative to the UACs, that pick up a shotgun ability to keep the idea viable.




Here's my idea of how to balance the LBX series...

This makes them different from the Inner Sphere and the Clans. This provides a viable alternative to UACs but they will not replace UACs in any capacity.

Apply the pellet damage buff to the IS LBX guns as well. It's basically a C-AC that can also function as a shotgun. A shotgun that does mildly more damage to an enemy mech.

And how do you propose to balance the lighter weight of single-slug cLB-X against the heavier isACs?
