Funny I can not find any Vultures for sale on PGIs Web site or the in game store.

"Vulture" is the IS designation of the Clan Mad Dog.

No I should not, it is not part of THIS game. If there was a choice to have the mech names change based on the allegiance chosen, but no.

Well actually they used the IS names for the packages in the store so the IS designations are kind of a part of this game.(Vulture is an exception though.) Still, even if you didn't know there is no reason for you not to be able to figure it out based on the pic in the second post, nor is it a reason to complain.

I am not complaining, I am showing the same consideration.

If folks can not be nice enough to use the name that is listed next to the mech in the mech lab and I have to go searching through the packages to hopefully find out what they are talking about, I can show them the same respect.

This is an online game that cobbles some storyline stuff together just like every other online game. This is also the forum for the online game, not smurfy's.

You may get on PGI's case.

This is such a HUGE missed opportunity in PGI's end. IS Mechs targeting Clanners should have their IS designations by default and could be changed to their original Clan names on the settings. The reason why the IS designation for the Timbers as "Mad Cats" was because their targeting systems got "confused" of it identifying as both a Marauder (MAD) and the Catapult (CAT), hence Mad Cat. PGI could have made it so that during the initial Clan Invasion, IS Mechs targeting a Timber would also have the MAD and CAT switching between the two.
Gotta pay attention to detail >:^(

Anyone else remember that way early Clan teaser trailer I can't find right now, where they ended the thing with the Sphere 'Mech locking onto a Timber Wolf in the distance and their paperdoll fuzzed out and started flipping rapidly between 'MAD' and 'CAT'?

I remember it quite clearly, even if YouTube is failing me right now. I also remember the distinct sensation of "HNNNNNGH YISS PLZ" I got watching it, even the seventh or eighth time.

Its a silly stand to make. Obviously plenty of people understand what he is talking about when he says Vulture. If you don't like people using the IS designations then don't comment at all since there are plenty of other people more than willing to make do with either designation that don't [Redacted].
