Ballistics
Gauss Rifles
Heat increased to 5.
Velocity reduced to 1,100 M/S.
Charge time increased to 1.1 seconds.
Cooldown reduced to 3.75 seconds.
Gauss Design Notes: "We feel that, despite multiple changes, Gauss Rifles were still too powerful for their tonnage and thus we've made multiple changes to finally bring them in line with our balance goals."
Machine Guns
Damage decreased to 0.1 DPS
Heat increased to 1.
Machine Gun Design Notes: "We feel that Machine Guns were over performing when boated and were absolutely devastating. These changes should bring them more in line with our balance goals."
Energy
PPCs and ER PPCs
PPC velocity increased to 1,400 M/s
ER PPC and C-ER PPC velocity increased to 1,500 M/s
ER PPC and C-ER PPC damage increased to 12.
C-ER PPC splash damage removed.
C-ER PPC cooldown increased to 4.75 seconds.
PPC Design Notes: "We feel that it's time for PPCs and ER PPCs to have their velocity restored and splash damage removed to bring them in line with our balance goals."
Small Lasers.
Optimal range increased to 220 meters
Max range increased to 398 meters.
Small Laser Design Notes: "We feel that the ER Small Laser needed only minor tweaks to bring them in line with our balance goals."
Missiles
Long Range Missiles
Velocity reduced to 80 M/s
Missiles can now pass through terrain, such as rocks, walls, and other mechs.
Missiles will now specifically target Mcgral18 in any match that he's in. All missiles will immediately begin leaving the bay at the start of the match and ignore range limitations to deal full damage.
LRM Design Notes: "We feel that Long Range Missiles were too effective at medium ranges and have reduced their velocity to bring them in line with our balance goals.
Contrary to the misconception, AMS bullets were originally designed to pass through solid terrain, as were LRMs. We feel that rocks were too effective at defending against them. Also. Mcgral18 must learn to fear LRMs."
Command Console
Command Console
Target Info Gathering speed increased to 42.5% (Up from 37.5%)
Velocity increased to 20% (Up from 0%)
Beam range increased to 5% (Up from 0%)
Command Design Notes: "We tried to think of a way to make the IS Command Console unique from Clan Targeting Computers without having to actually code something.
After several months, we couldn't find a way and so went with this. We feel that these changes bring it in line with our balance goals."
Quirks
KDK 1, 2, 4, and Spirit Bear have all had negative quirks added to them. They're simply too powerful. Due to the holidays we didn't have time to prepare a PDF file for the quirk changes to these and other mechs but trust us, we haven't specifically targeted your favorite mechs.
