I know I'm late to the party, But I've got the Medusa when it was on sale and plan to get the other 2 variants when I'll have enough C-Bills (or when they are on sale )
- The first thing I've noticed is that they are a lot of fun! sure, 8 JJs are overkill but the 'Mech is just a lot of fun.
- The second thing I've noticed (which is most noticeable on the Medusa) is that it's arms tend to soak a lot of damage (surprisingly, way more than the Mist-Lynx btw) and I almost always lose at least one if not both before the match ends or I die... There was an armor quirks pass not long ago and I think it would have been nice to give those arms a little extra armor. It doesn't feel like a competitive 'Mech at all so a little buff wouldn't be too much to ask. that or move some of the shoulder surface to the ST hit box...
- Third thing is the set of 8 bonuses, which I realise is personal preference whether it's a good or bad idea - to me it just feel like it turns this omnimech into a battlemech... on the NTG for example, the quirks are not as significant so you can just skip them but on this fragile 'Mech every agility and range quirks helps...
