If I sell a mech, what happens to the cockpit items in it. I swear I'm missing mounted items I used to have, and the only thing I can figure is that they got sold with one of the mechs i got rid of.

The item should not be sold along with the mech. Let me go and test it with some coals. NM, I already sold the mech that I wanted to get rid of. Posted Image

If you sell a mech there is an option to sell equipped items, modules, and cockpit items on it. In theory if these were unchecked it should not sell them, but I always strip mechs completely before I sell them anyway. You're asking to be burned otherwise, given who is the developer..

we need an ingame market to trade mech equipments and cockpit items for cbills or exchangign them directly for each other. I got quite a lot cockpit items i would trade for some disco balls and disco lights.

You get nothing for it.

Yeah but they are cluttering my "Owned" section of items. I'd be glad to get rid of them for free.

I realy would like to get rid of the tonnes of consumables I dont use too.

I have about 5 lumps of coal too. Ah, I get why.

But I'd like a way to sell em anyways.

AFAIK you won't be able to sell the mech, unless you remove the cockpit items.

TBH it would be nice to just have an option to straight up delete stuff that can't be sold. Goodbye, Euphoric Eardrums.

I sold a mech last week, and forgot that it had a warhorn. I got a pop-up saying that I had to remove 'cockpit items' before selling the mech.

I'd rather keep them. Just un equip them if you don't like them. Having more than one you do like makes it easy to deck out and theme your cockpits. Resistance warhorn is closest I have for fireworks.

yea i think most of the cockpit items are silly and dont really belong in the mechwarrior universe. ive yet to read a book where a mechwarrior had a knick knack in his cockpit. the more militaristic bits kind of belong, dog tags and side arms, but why do i need a damn disco ball? everyone knows that disco sucks. they just serve to break immersion for me.

this is the part where you tell me not to buy/use them. thats all fine and dandy i suppose. but it still just feels wrong. when pgi declared they would use f2p model, i figured there was plenty of ways to do that without breaking immersion. could have done external geometry or maybe weapon manufacturers or more paid skin options and that would have meshed better with the universe. thats dev time poorly spent imho. and knowing pgi i bet the bulk of these things come of one of those stock model dumps a lot of games seem to use these days. all pgi has to do is pay a royalty and its in.

So you CAN get rid of unwanted cockpit items?

I need to look over Mechs again for ones that can go!

Time to clear out not only Mechs going to waste, also cockpit items doing nothing.
