I've straight up FACE TANKED a Mad2C in my Viper, of all things
Don't think he even got 10% off me.

Potato Land is a strange place

I stand corrected, he got exactly 20% off me

Worth it

Its still good at 2x ER PPC poptarting, the HBK-IIC is just better.

I've never liked it in that role
12 ERSLs all the way (my first excellent match ever was in one of those. 1300 damage, 9 kills)

Does the SadCat do PPCs better than the Nova as well?

It's not as good at it as the HBK is but it can still put two up high in its torsos. Same speed and hops as the NVA. I admit I haven't run the NVA with PPCs lately, but the required clearance alone would make me favor the HMN.

I haven't run a Huntsman.. I just like the Nova's PPC quirks for sustainability. It won't be better than the Summoner because of hardpoints, but it's surely better than the awful Scat that's was used much earlier in this discussion.

No, that heat dissipation still hurts it vs the Nova. It goes HBK-IIC-A > HMN > NVA >>> SHC
Really the separation in power between the HBK-IIC, HMN, and NVA is pretty small for 2 ERPPCs.

Yep, agreed. The NVA is a good PPC poptart but that is not what got it nerfed 3 times in a row. It was that it was the highest scoring Medium during the Medium event and the small laser builds were the ones racking up those scores.

I am opposed to power creep so I am OK with negative adjustments to class leading builds. If the Summoner loses anything during the Skill Tree revamp, I hope it will be its ability to have borderline ridiculous velocity quirks for the erPPC. But then, I am opposed to velocity quirks of any kind for any weapon on a Mech to Mech basis. If there is a problem with weapon velocity then fix the weapon system IMO.

That's what being able to mount 10x cSPL/12x cERSL, lots of DHS, being small, and having ridiculous levels of armor quirks on top of cXL will do for you! Those were the builds pushing the score upward, not the PPC poptarts.

If you've kept your nose clean, look at USAjobs and also as many DoD contractor companies as you can find. Drop those resumes and be persistent.

PM sent, btw.

Having finally tested PPC nip Summoners against other mechs, it really is no contest on what mech is the best poptart. The Summoner is hands down better than both the Timby and the Night Gyr to the point that there really isn't a good counter for it without mistakes being made by that pilot. While I would love to see these pods released so PGI can get better telemetry for just how broken it is, it really needs to be reigned in because these things are ridiculously powerful with their combination of speed, high mounts, good enough JJs, and DPS.

I would've searched for the old thread about this, but the search function for this forum sucks beyond belief.

im doing fine the same way with both ERPPCs in the left arm. but instead NERF NERF NERF why dont pgi release the pods to be available for c-bills? like the standard variants.

i'm really sick of nerf nerf nerf nerf nerf nerf nerf nerf nerf nerf crybabies.

Because that's a separate issue...?

The pay wall isn't the only problem here.

so now that the summoner is a heavy on par with other clan heavies, needs a nerf? i'd say, quirk the less common pods. end.

So glad you ignored part of my OP, it isn't on par with other heavies, it is better.

I don't know, I wish my timber wolf could mount 2 cERPPCs, 6 jumpjets, have fairly decent structure bonus quirks, and great offensive quirks for cERPPCs ranging from velocity to energy range with higher mounts and better hitboxes.

But that might be OP which is exactly the point of this thread

was sarcasm. i'd never take the summoner over the gyr. in any map, not even in alpine or polar. cause the gyr is a better poptart with 40PPFLD vs the 2xCERPPC of the summoner. and i take the summoner off for a ride very often. yes they have almost the same DPS, but one does shoot for 40, the other for 20.

all this comedy about the loyalty summoner being the best heavy is just silly.

Or he doesn't understand how geometry and mount differences work on a poptart

By the time a night gyr clears fully on a jump people have seen it and either hidden or lined up a good shot.

Summoner just has to expose those nips a little- far less of the mech has to clear and there is less reaction time to line the shot up or take cover

Hitbox and geometry differences are also in favor of the summoner. The summoner spreads damage at range more naturally but the night gyr's massive side torsos will probably catch most or all of the return fire.

Then there is the matter of speed differences and quirks-- but I've said enough, I think.

Night gyr poptart is superior for seal clubbing to the summoner poptart but the summoner poptart wins out in comp.

I don't need to because that's all your post is, character assassination, it has no real argumentative substance.

No, your post had no argument other than you just saying I'm wrong. There was no proof as to why I was wrong other than character assassination. If you want to be yet another BLOOD WOLF, that's fine by me.
