Ok lets get to it....I can buy mechs, consmetics and bays..all of which basicly just allow you to play with more variety but some (most) of your items only available through MC literally translate to damage.....I DONT WANT P2W..I respectfully suggest that either they be removed or My favorite opinion..if you think that they in fact aren't pay to win items...then make them available for c-bills instead. I have never used these items as i think its a waste of real money when i could buy a mech or something that provides longer term enjoyment. If you want the game to be balanced then that feature should die. In addition it will also eliminate some of the disparity in skill level if no one or everyone can use them in terms of your extremely ****** matchmaking system. ANother option may be to make a game mode where you can use them.

Think you should be talking to these gents http://www.swtor.com/ at Bioware rather than bothering PGI over a nonissue in MWO. The game is entirely F2P. They even award Mechbays, mechs(rarely), and MC during events. This MC can then be used to purchase mechbays, mechs and cosmetics... Also, all weapons and most mechs can already be purchased with CBills...

What can you buy with MC that deals damage that cannot be bought with C-bills?

I think he did not understand that UAVs and ARty/Airstrikes in C-bill and MC variant are just the same after you leveled them.
There are no other Items that do dmg and are for sale with MC.

MWO isn't P2W exactly. It follows the new method which is similar. Pay to (but no promises) have a greater Chance at winning sooner.
New mechs are generally more powerful than the established line and this has followed a pattern for years. After the mech hits the deck for MC (which is also real money, but can be earned very slowly in game) it is nerfed slightly. After it moves to CBills it is often nerfed again -- stealthily or not so stealthily in the KDK's case. But, lo and behold, after the latest top dog has been nerfed a bit, the newest and shiniest superior machine of doom is available for real money!
So, in effect, the product that is purchased for real money is not the same product that is purchased for in game currency. Unless it is meh to start with, which happens occasionally, but I am certain is not PGI's intent.
This is how the company makes its money. They do not force you to buy anything really. They just entice you to buy the latest and greatest and to keep doing that with the (inferred, false?) promise of better performance.
You should know that all you are buying in most cases are:
So the only thing you get that with real money that no one else can is that few month experience of possibly having the best mech on the block, and perhaps a champ variant.
I find this marketing model to be very low pressure and I like it. I can buy what I want, or not, and worry about the rest later if I wish. There are so many existing mechs though, that your choices should not keep you from overcoming the best easily with a bit of practice and skill.
Besides, having the (perceived) best of the best just makes you the first target.

- A unique cammo pattern
- A few cockpit items for early adopters
- Some in game currency
- A chance to pilot a new mech before everyone else for a few months

Wouldn't say it's a false promise as it is the way new mechs are introduced.
By the time the mechs are available for c-bills you could consider them a used second hand mech.
Got a few miles on the clock, not as shiny any more... and never performs as well as it did just off the production line.
