If we didnt have the population then redesign the game mode. Don't just put everyone into one group until they leave too.

It's really too early to tell if they're sidelining development on MWO. We are getting new skill system. They usually pump out a revamp or new thing maybe twice a year. So if we don't get any decent revamp or new feature, then we might be able to say that MWO development has been sidelined.

I didn't have one. Even solo dropping, it was just a steamroll (with grouped players on the other side too)... Why?
Because so many IS PUGs with XL Assaults with LURMageddon enabled. They just sit there, giving you a stare-down yet are dead in 3 seconds. I killed a LRM Marauder last night with a single LPL (he was fresh), because he just stood still trying to missile me to death. Terrible.
This is the real issue with FP 4.1 - The quality of population has become abysmal. I'm all for more players, but it's not QP, you can't just sit in a corner and lob missiles and think it's going to be effective (given it's not in QP either)...
Plus the eternal QP maps for 2-3 hours in some cycles is driving people insane because that is not what FP is about.
Veterans want Invasion - and will slow down playing because of it
PUGs wanna stop being rolled - and will slow down playing because of it
A double edge sword, where no-one wins.

I yield, unto you, my daily allotment of Agrees. I must now Disagree with everyone else until the 'morrow.
(Also, I called it and said this would happen, months ago.)

lol. *aww shucks*
I just call it how I see it. And while 4.1 is good population wise (well, it was while everyone was on Xmas break) - the REAL telling will be the next 6 weeks for population. I bet Russ won't be tweeting about the percentage decline though. Better to tout the stats during the holiday period, looks better.

PGI doesn't have the power to kill (or...really grow for that matter) this game. The only people that can do that are us, the community. So far, the community has been accepting of the new Faction Play. I for one, enjoy it....but I would change one thing, make it easier to select spawn points

Why would a company invest a stupid amount of time, money and energy into acquiring a license for a product whose original owner couldn't care less about (and was quite willing to let it collect dust until the heat-death of the universe) only to spend more time, money and energy to develop and deploy a product based on this license with not only no expectation of return but also the express purpose of destroying it?
Seriously, that is by far one of the stupidest things I have read today... and I've read some really REALLY stupid stuff today. If PGI was interested in destroying the franchise, they would have been far better off never picking it up from Microsoft in the first place.

Honestly,
I am not liking the 1-bucket system -- you get no sense that you are making progress towards a goal. We just have to accept that this is PGIs game to wreck or improve however they want to and, it is up to us to get what enjoyment we can from whatever they give us....
So, grab a PARTYBACK!!!!, install lights, lava-lamp and disco ball, give it a crazy paint job and go have some fun.
