Neither have I...but it'll be out there for C-bills before the tournament hits, if only just before the tournament hits. Plenty of time to get you some Mad Doge spam at 50t and teach dem Scorches who's boss. ...provided you don't bid up to 55t and do it in a Stormcrow, anyways.

Oh, will it?

Interesting. The Huntsman is the only Clan mech I have, and I do need to find something to do with the Huntsman-A (Which is epic trash if you can't get your eyes to work with PPCs). Maybe I'll turn it into a SRM boat.

Hmmm...

I'm pretty sure?

They said the patch was third week of January this month, didn't they? That'd put it on Tuesday the 17th, four days before the tournament. Admittedly if that was the case we should've started getting a Bushwacker countdown already, so maybe I'm wrong. Who knows?

The Huntsman FAQ says February 7th 2017.

So... nope, I guess.

No great loss for me for the tourny, though.

Aww, poo. That Lurmisher Huntsman actually looked pretty amusing. Will have to remember the fit for when the pods come off lockdown eventually.

Not to worry- there will definitely be more tourneys!
You said no great loss. My bad. I read "A great loss for me"

Yah, it isn't a big deal. I have other mechs that can do LRM spam as good or better at that weight. I supposed I don't have a SRM brawler that'll work that well, but I have some that are close.

Quick question that I don't see the answer for in the rules, but given the content of some responses I can guess - Are you allowing mechs that aren't available for C-Bills (And hence everyone)?

Yes, we are. That's another reason we are leaving it up to the pilots to decide upon weight class.

So no ban for flamers? Eh... tough decision ahead.

I think it'll be fine. It promotes deciding whether or not you want to mid range skirmish or brawl at the risk of having flamers stuck on you. And conversely, do you want something with 90m effective range that you can't use because a fast medium is keeping the engagement out to 350m?

We considered banning them, but we think they are an important part of the game.

Registered. Hoping RL momma drama won't make me have to back out. But, not looking good. Wanted two clarifications so I can make loadouts anyway.

1) Agreed tonnage - Does that mean any mech up to the agreed tonnage. So if I agree to 65 tons, I can still take a 50 ton mech? Seems like the biggest weight difference additional reward implies that.
2) Best of three - Can we switch mechs in between each battle, or are we locked in to the mech we choose for the first one? It states that there will be no time given for mechlab adjustments in between the best of three. So that seems to imply we can take a different mech that is already set to go.

1. Agreed tonnage means you agree on each other's tonnage.
Examples (not limited to these): You may agree to same tonnage, 5 ton difference, 10 ton difference, etc. You can agree to stay in the same weight class. If you love mediums and your opponent loves heavies and neither want to change, if you're OK with running those classes against each other, go for it. IF you can't agree, we'll put you in a trial Warhawk. If someone refuses, they lose that match.
2. Correct. You may swap 'mechs in between matches as long as you have what you want to play ready.
