There is a phrase I am looking for here...power advancement? No that's not it, power crawling? Hmm... Something to do with obsoleting my Shadow Hawks...bah. It'll come to me I am sure.

Bushwacker won't out brawl or out peak a Shadowhawk, but will beat it in a sustained firefight where the 'Wacker can dish out tons of damage from the second line.

Nah. Whatever superior firepower the Bushwacker has compared to the Shadow Hawk (Which I'm not sure is strictly a true statement) is balanced by the Bushwacker's need to fully expose itself to do anything.

Unless you use your Shadow Hawk as a face to face, stand and deliver DPS brawler, I think the Bushwacker isn't going to displace it.

If that is how you use your Shadow Hawks... ok, yah, the Bushwacker is gonna spank you I think.

Damn... the more I talk about the Bushwacker, the more bummed I am I can't pilot it until May 2nd 2017 (April 4th 2017, if I do decide to dump my remaining MC on the hero).

Meh, it is moment like this that make me really hate the Early Adopter model for their mech packs.

As in now that I have a better idea of how it will look and all that I may actually be interested in buying it, but all the bonuses are long gone cause I wanted to make an informed purchase rather than an impulse purchase, ya know? (and as many know concept art have not always been an accurate representation of the finished product.)

I find the bushwacker reminds me more of the AH-56 Cheyenne. The original... "let's see how many features we can cram into one airframe and hope it works" defence program. The F-35 of its day in many ways... full of promise... and lots more time needed for development than originally predicted.

Let's see... it was a compound rigid rotor helicopter with a pusher prop, top speed was better than many WW2 ground attack planes (212 knots / 393kph in level flight and 30 knots faster in a dive), had a belly mounted 30mm cannon, a chin turret with either a 7.62mm minigun or a 40mm grenade launcher, proper wings, could do loops and barrel rolls without worrying about smacking the rotor blades into the fuselage, and carried TOW missiles and rocket pods on six hardpoints under the wings...and the attack profile was to make high speed diving runs.

I don't know. Those ST ballistic mounts are not that low (sure, they are not shoulder mounts), but given how XL friendly it looks, and the ability to run 2AC10 (can't do that on a Shawk) and pre-cbill release level quirks. I think that for the foreseeable future, it will give the Shawk a run for its money.

I think that the offset AC on the right arm looks weird...it would be better if the AC barrel just came out where the hand is. Yeah that technically makes the hand inoperable, but at least it looks better.

The past MW games have just gotten rid of the right hand for good reason.

I like my women with thick legs, not my Mechs... Even still the design looks awesome. It's every bit as ugly as it should be.

yeah,,, the leg thickness...I am not wild about.... not a dela breaker, but not loving that detail. Torso and arms look better, at least at that angle, than anticipated, TBH.

I guess it's just a judgement call we can't answer until mid February (Gotta give it a few weeks after release to make a definitive statement). Until then, we can only speculate, and my speculation is that the Shadow Hawk can out peek the Bushwacker with it's superior mounts, making it a better mid-ranged sniper and off and on again general fighter mech, while the Bushwacker will earn it's C-Bills more as an ambush medium, spending most of it's fighting time face to face, in life or death struggles.

But I dunno. Use your best judgement, I guess.

Agreed, though like Fup, the placement of the AC10 on the right arm just doesn't sit well with me for whatever reason.

Meh, its just the cockpit of a heli with legs and arms. Not very nice looking, not to mention almost completely redundant.

don't disagree with you on the AC10, at all, though TBH, it's always had really awkward, bolted on appearance. Except on the MW4 model that drops the hand to begin with (on everything). It's...odd, but I can live with it, especially since at least the AC seems well scaled, to the mech. Though admittedly I would prefer it to comprise the forearm, in and of itself.

99% of robots are pretty redundant by now. It's still nice that people can customize and choose to drive their own preferred redundant model.

Ain't that the truth...
Every new mech is just another redundant jumble of hitboxes/hardpoints.

Which is exactly why we need the Quadrupeds. Say what you will about how absolutely terrible they'd be in-game, at least they'd add some variety to the game

Agreed. If people like this ugly *** gunbag, they're welcome to drive it around and enjoy it -- it's not like I'm being forced to buy it (hopefully.)

Hey, we may be driving it, but you're the one that has to look at it. So I guess the jokes still on you.
