Flea IIC. Mark my words.
EDIT: Also, to OP - Last year, the January Mech Pack didn't come out until the last days of the month. Everyone just calm down and breath.

In that case, I want my Battlemaster IIC! No, not the 2C, but a Clan version, which perferably can shoot 8 lasers from high chest mounts, and with CXL. The chassis was in Mechwarrior 2, FFS.

You know, I think you could be right.
I wonder if they have carte-blance to make Mechs up now, or whether Jordan (someone else?) would actually rein them in?

It is the HNT-171 variant (default variant), which means no arms.

ver yinteresting, does such a much when using FF/ES has less slots to pay for thos,e because without arms theres less structure/armor to be applied. also does the structure itself weight less in general?

I lost all my Battletech TROs in the last hard drive crash, but if you have 3050 TRO, then you should be able to see it for yourself. Hornet is on page 10, or 48, depending on whether it is the upgraded version or not.

I guess the "arms" could be just another part of the torso, however tiny it may be. Like the protective plates on the Cicada.
According to sarna and TT quirks, having no arms is the same as having arms except for standing up and not beeing able to do melee attacks with arms (obviously)

For your own health, I suggest not thinking logically any further in that direction. Otherwise questions like "Why do 20tonners have the same amount of space as 100tonners have?" and general epiphany of how stup!d original BT rules and especially the slot system are might occur very quickly.

BLR-IIC with the original 6 high mounted laser slots plus perfect shield arms would be the biggest power creep ever... and I would giggle and buy it

Think about it... you could run 2 LPL + 4 ML with XL 385 and 30 DHS.

Yep. Only thing I found lacking in the IS Battlemaster was the XL fragility and laser range. Clan tech solves both, quirks be damned.
