is the heat scaling/dispassion different from clan mech's

they seem to run hotter ?

Whe, what? IC II mechs? IIC mechs you mean?

To my knowledge IIC mechs are Clan only. So why are you comparing it to Clan mechs?

They shouldn't run hotter, and one should easily be able to test it in game.

Clan and IS mechs cool the same, but Clan weapons generate more heat, and they have harsher ghost heat thresholds. This is compounded by their ability to carry more weapons in general.

I know there based on clan tech so should be the same but they just feel hotter?

So you're asking if IIC mechs (Clan Battlemechs) cool different then Clan Omnimechs, or non-IIC Clan Battlemechs?

Answers still the same, of course. The only thing that changes how mechs cool (In MechLab) is whether they use Standard Heat SInks or Double Heat Sinks. And obviously how many of them there are.

The do run hotter if they lack heat quirks of a comparable Omnimech. Obviously.
For example the MAD IIC with the same amount of HS is way hotter with energy weapons than a pure WHK-C.
Mechs can also run hotter than a comparable if they have shorter cooldown (e.g. equipped the module on one Mech, but not on the other).

Apart from that, no difference.1 HS == 1 HS.
