We've got another set of Champion Mech's we'd like your help making builds for!
Keep in mind these will mostly be used by new playersl!
Please submit your build for the Mauler Champion!
Post your build using Smurfy Mechlab, with whichever variant you'd like.

Remember to click the Like button at the bottom of other posted builds for your favorites!
The top 3 voted builds will be taken into a separate discussion thread which our designer will then later review your discussions and debates on it to make the final call as to which is the best of the 3 to implement.
Thank you very much again for your contribution!

6 AC2s is hilarious. I went ahead and threw in an XL and a pair of MLs to keep the speed up and give it enough ammo to get by with and some backups for when the new player who lacks fire discipline runs out of ammo. I would hate to leave such a person without anything to fall back on.

Edit - I originally posted this at work, but now that I'm home I wanted to talk about it a bit more. Also, because I was at work I was trying to rebuild it from memory. I'll post the actual build below, too.
The first thing I like about the build is the simplicity plus the variety. Weapon group one is four AC2s, and two is 20 (or 24) SRMs. You get a nice rapid fire ranged attack that does wonders for harassment, and a vicious short range attack for when it gets personal. Simple, effective, and runs a standard engine with C.A.S.E to keep you in the fight.
Here's what I actually run

(2) Uac5's { -10% jam chance quirk}
(2) Large Pulse Lasers {-10% heat ; -15% Duration on top of pulse lasers - fast firing}
(2) SRM6 w/Artemis { +10% missile speed)
XL 325 Engine 58.5; 62.9 kph. Pretty quick for 90 tons. Max engine allow the fastest possible torso twisiting speed when needed.
528/558 armor.
Good heat management, good agility for 90 tons, good burst and sustained fire power.
All around friendly mech with only 3 weapon groups.

"Godspeed You madman!" I was told when I showed up in this build and my black and white skeleton camo. Rapid fire AC2s Rock and everyone HATES getting hit by them. An added PPC or LPL To boost damage.
I'd prefer to have an erppc for close range damage but it got warm.
Please do buffs on: Ac2 Cooldown, Erppc heat generation(BIG), PPC cooldown

Mal-1p
UAC's and a PPC
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5cb39fdf308c757
People put UAC's on the MX90, which is silly because it is not a good mech for it. The 1P has great PPC quirks and a ballistic cool down which is the most important quirk for the UAC's, meaning the combo of UACs and 1 PPC makes a pretty cool, high pinpoint damage mech.
As for the MX90... its quirks do little to help ac2's 5's, or UAC's, but they help the AC20 a crap ton. The MX-90 has +15% range, -10% heat gen, +15% velocity for ballistics. The AC20 benefits a TON from these quirks as it is the only AC that produces lots of heat, has weak range, and with slow velocity. (Gauss also benefits . . . but it really needs a cooldown buff and side torso gauss is risky). The MX90 also has +15% cooldown and +10% velocity for missiles, which is perfect for SRMs. Thus is born the brawly MX90.

While the temptation with the 1R is to go LRM15 boating...or even LRM boating... I think its better with quad SRM6s. Only a pair of AC2s since the ballistic quirking is minor, and with ERPPCs as the Energy Range +15% quirk pays dividends here over faster shooting ERLLs since its 15% of 810 not of 675.
