Baby King Crab everyone! Basically a king crab with "half" the level. It has LAC5 for it's hand cannons (that is also supposed to be covered by pincer bay door), 2x LRM5 for it's missile, and a 2x ER Medium Laser for it's energy weapons. The lower-arm actuator and hand-actuator is also removed from this variant, also the ammo is not supposed to be a lot, since literally it's there to mimic the King Crab basic lore build but smaller by some step, not be viable in the first place.

It's not totally like the King Crab, while the ballistic went two steps down, the laser just went one step down and there is two, likewise the missiles have two and basically is an LRM10. It's not an EXACT replica but i made it so because it's supposed to look like one, not completely act like one, there is still the performance to be concerned off.

I'm not really good with balancing, so the quirks are just there to explain the spirit of the hero mech.

Why on earth does your premium costed custom mech have shs and no endo? Or a sub 250 engine?

Do... Do you like buying parts for heroes?

Calm your ****, i just had a PS error, it does come with Endo, Ferro, and DHS. Also it's just there to feature the mech with the STD200, not to make it viable. I already explained it.

Its hardly a heroic mech if thats the lore.

Frankly I dont know the lore of a majority of hero mechs. I do remember them unpleasant in that i have to kit them out myself on top of the MC cost.

thats at best suited for some scouting, on small maps but past that its so short on ammo it won't do much and too slow as well..
Your quirks are also dangerous, because people may use it with less Missiles and just go wild on more ac 5 ammo.
I like the idea fo a baby KGC, thats well done here, but hardly a good build for MWO.

Most of the 'Hero' Mechs are just 'Notable' pilots from the TROs who had custom load outs (A handful of which may actually be Battletech heroes), or novel designs made by PGI.

Gameplay/Story segregation is a ***** sometimes, to say nothing of a game where the events take places over a century where tech actually advances.

Anyway... not bad Messenger. Probably a bad moment to release it, since the Bushwacker, which one could arguably call the 'Ballistic Crab,' is being released soon. Or maybe that's what inspired you.

I think, if I were to get my hands on it, my personal config would be Dual AC/2s and an SRM12A. But my misplaced love for AC/2s taints my vision, I'm sure.

First I sort of like the idea of making it more like the King Crab, but a big resounding no to sticking lrm five's on it.

Another more valid reason why I think they should do other mechs first is you can already get cbill boosted versions of the Crab in the Resistance pack and the Steam pack, so I would like to see chassis that don't have any special variants available done first.

+1t more ammo, a DHS (or another ton more ammo) rest bigger engine

i would also redistribute ammo, the half lrm ton in the CT (should be shot empty quite well) and a Ac5 into the head. as well as putting one Ac 5 tonnage in each arm.

whats the point of STD when the mamo in the CT cna blow up hurting your CT that much

I upgraded the engine to 235, and added more LRM ammo. I also replaced the Med Lasers with ER Med Lasers, and readjusted the quirk accordingly.

Its almost like a home brew of mine from a few days ago messing with 3060+ tech. Nice. But it needs 4e and a few more b. One sec, loading up the build.
The short:
250 lfe, xl gyro, endo steel and lff armor at 9.5 tons, 3 machine guns (1in each arm, one in the ct) with half a ton of ammo, twin light ac5s and a ton off ammo each as your build, 2 mml3 launchers with 2 tons of ammo on the left shoulder and 4 erml on the right shoulder. Case also but that can btw dropped like a bad habit. Add a standard ams slot and there you go. Uses almost all advanced tech though. Tt homebrew lore was it was to be a replacement for the Shadowhawk using a crab chassis as a base.

Redit: forgot xl gyro = mg moved to head. But still this can do something stupid like 5 mg.... Or an xl and 5 lac2s and lots of ammo xD head mount= highish mount though the arms wouldn't be as much, but 5 lac2 on a 50 ton mech with something around8 tons of ammo.

still, put osme ammo in the ehad, the eha dis the most save place for it, the chances someone hits your head and makes it not destroy, but blow up the ammo there, is like 0,00000001% chance. Safest place for ammo is still the head.
