Honestly at this point I think the invisible terrain hithobxes are a lazy way to avoid having mechs clip into enviornment objects. But gameplay > visuals

Doesn't the range indicator provide a clue on whether or not your are pointing at invisible terrain?

only partially, if your course is one pixel next to a solid wall, you KNOW, shooting and moving that direction si a bad idea. But when you fire soem lasers and move that oen pixel, peeeeeew much heat for nothing. you can't really prepare for those.
And another scenario is line of sight =/= line of fire. your courser might indicate the right target range, mit it may still be that the weapons line of fire goes through that invisible wall and all you do is hitting the air.
M most favourite spot is the top gate at sulfurous at the top corner, that invisible wall there is HUGE

PGI, please fix the fracking creek beds on Canyon!! How the frack does any mech, let alone assaults of any type get stuck trying to get out of the water and onto the rise of immovable dirt that seems to push you back and down every time!! These invisible walls must be made of salt, because why else would they be there, but to make you so salty, you want to kick your screen!!
