If I had to guess (educated guess that you sit somewhere between Tier 3-5), your biggest problem is there's no matchmaker in FW. You probably avoid Group Queue too like the plague...

Ad hominem. Is there a statement in our future?

I don't always use statistics to back up my arguments, but when I do I ensure I make them up off the top of my head.

Russ stated that FW participation was 10%. I take it as fact. After FW 3, it nose dived. Queue rates during FW 2 rarely exceeded two hundred. Live with it.

Can you deny that it might be unfun for you simply because you get out-matched/out-skilled in the no matchmaker system that is FW? Since 4.1 released, the QP modes in FW have added a whole new flavour to the game, with mostly positive reviews.

Keep in mind this is the same guy that has been trying to "balance" this game since the beginning. I won't take that "10%" as fact unless I hear it from someone that watched him count it out on his fingers.

What's the best method of reporting people who spawncamp? Just had an entire match against [228] where my team couldn't do anything due to the spawncamping and the walls now just make it easier to do so as you can avoid fire from the dropships. Or is there actual ways to combat this shameful and dirty tactic yet?

you can report it to your mommy ans daddy and they will give you a participation trophy for trying hard.

Send a note to support@mwomercs.com explaining how stupid it is that the current game mechanics makes spawn camping more profitable than finishing the mission as efficiently/early/effectively as possible.

I'd be more tempted to name and shame the players specifically instead of just calling out the Unit as I did grab a screenshot of the players

Trust me it doesn't work. We've been doing it successfully for many years. It is a feature added in game by PGI. It is automatically activated by buying a mech pack.

But on the serious note, FP is not a place for new players or single players unless you are a really good one. There is a very high chance to run into a team and once they crash your first wave, this is the end of your game. You have 2 options - join a team (just not one of FRR hub - theyw ill teach you nothing but how to eject when they see 3 EVIL members. Trust me, not a very good way of learning the game. Or half of them will power down at different parts of a map. Wait, that doesn't sound great either. Damn it). 2nd option is to twitter Russ Bullock until he can't take any more. The 2nd option is more fun but it is up to you).

I think the 2nd one is going to happen. Teams will get group Q type of nerf soon.

While I am not a fan of S C A R & his compatriots, he is correct that spawncamping is fact of Faction Play.

In defense of those who can aim (which includes S C A R and his compatriots) with some of the maps set up as they are, you can get shot coming off the dropship from a goodly distance away. I think the drop zone barriers on most maps are more of a detriment to the mechs coming off the dropship than they are a deterrent to getting shot at while you bring in your second and subsequent waves of mechs.

Why yes I can. If fact, when I do play and I'm on the stomping side, I no longer join in the camping. Not fun. No, the broken respawn mode is not fun because it's not fun. There is no quantification to add to subjective likes and dislikes save this:

90% avoid it. Hence low populations, hence tears. Even now during NA prime time only about 180 players are on the respawn wagon based on games per hour. Better than FW 3 disaster, but hardly success and certainly not commercial success. It's all well and good that some people like it. I like Scout. But Scout has an even lower population (and no matchmaker, BTW).

Get used to it. You're the five percent snowflakes. I'm even worse. Scout, what?, two percent? This should be a concern to any one with an ounce of business acumen. Really, how long will PGI burn resources on 5%? In the long run, FW withers with out 90%. This means catering to the 90, not the 5. It means fixing broken game mechanics. And, yes, it means a matchmaker in some queue, some part, some place in FW.

Or it can hobble along with the usual cycles of drought and deluge drizzle.
