Major missed opportunity. Hero mech could have been called "just the tip!"

Way to screw the pooch, PGI!

(Mech looks nice and the hardpoints look pretty decent.)

I am excited. I've been waiting and hoping for this. I've called for it to be next, and finally PGI follows through.

My 2 complaints are as follows: the Collectors version is twice the price of the Standard one, which remains a somewhat poor upgrade (I'd prefer something like an extra 5-10 USD instead of flat doubling it), and the head doesn't quite have the feel of a proper helmet like the classic art has. Maybe it's the angle, and maybe it'll look better from the front, but the head just looks a little too long and skinny.

At least the base price is 15 instead of 20, so even doubling it you still save a decent amount over the other mech packs, which is nice in comparison.

That said, I've been waiting for this so eagerly and for so long that I'm going to have to find room in my budget for it before the end of February. I've got to put my money where my mouth is. Besides, I know it'll be an absolute joy to drive.

I too was hoping for that Valkrie, Wasp, or Stinger but this mech with the side torso missle hard points might be fun to build out.

Now, we're only missing the socially awkward middle brother - the Whitworth.

But the Whitworth is Notworth it...

I am all for including as many TRO 3050 mechs as possible, but some just aren't worth it. The Whitworth is one of them...
Of all the remaining 40t Mechs only the Vulcan and either one of Clint, Hermes II make sense...

I was too expecting the Wasp/Stinger, but Javelin will do (for now!).

PGI, please consider the Wasp, Raptor and Osiris next, as IS light mechs. And of course the Fire Moth as next Clan light mech.

As much as I would like to complete all Battletech Introductory Box mechs, yep, the Whitworth is Notworth it... (and honestly, the same for the Hermes II and Clint - specially if you consider the Uziel is just around the corner)

I'll admit I was tempted. I really like splat Lights.

However, I'm just not going to reward PGI any further for the lackadaisical pace of development over the past year ... the retreat to 3-monthly roadmaps, the failure to deliver new features that were already pushed back to late last year, the ever-decreasing lack of effort on community engagement, the lack of new maps, the failure to make any meaningful effort to address Clan vs IS balance, etc.

So: sorry, but no. Show more interest in your game and your customers, and I'll show more interest in continuing to fund you.

they will never give us true pink because all of a sudden all mechs go pink, especially the kodiaks, for the full carebear stare

Another SRM splat light for the IS. Hooray

and with nickname "hi there" it obvious that PGI are fans of Peter Gabriel's song "Big time"

I'm a Merc, you nincompoop! I fight for both sides.

As long as the bonus is good.

Nice mech, Great artwork. The price feels right also. I usually buy the very last day of pre-order. I wanted to send a message that this was a nice package so I bought the full package on the announcement day.

GG PGI.
