This was pretty up there on my list of wants. Glad to see it. Still missing my Flea though. Will buy as soon as I get home from work tonight.

Looks pretty sleek to me... should be fun to run around in. High missile hard-points would make this a great ridge hopper with SRMs in my estimation.

I'm just happy for a new light mech. By the time it comes out, it will have been nearly a year and a half since the Jenner IIC.

Also very happy with the pricing change. Might even get the reinforcements pack if I enjoy the base pack enough.

All you all saying you like the art and that it "looks good". I wonder if we are seeing the same mech. To each his/her own I guess, but I was expecting something more barrel chested and squat. That thing just looks like a malnourished child wandering through the back alley. More, "oh you poor thing" rather than "watch out for its bada55 alpha potential".

Yeah, the artwork makes me think of the Treb, and that isn't a really cool looking mech. Now if we are judging it based on how goofy looking it is, then it is winning that race.

Could of swore it was gonna be the Firefly (IS) given the MW3 kick they've been on. (Whacker, Supernova)

Hits ALL the marks.

-Bad geometry that makes XL checking it easier
-Reliant on ammo dependent and heavy weapon systems for most of it's variants
-Cannot fully utilize all of it's hardpoints without gimping thanks to low tonnage capacity
-Is essentially a spider sized, 5 tons heavier commando.

Sigh. Onto the garbage heap you go...

As much as i would like to support pgi bringing in another light, i will absolutely wait till its size is revealed before i even consider buying it for cbills.

I'd suggest that this is a test case for trying to see if nostalgia alone is sufficient motivation to make a mech (see wasp, stinger threads as well), but since this thing looks nothing like what, I at least, recall a Javelin looking like, I don't think so.

I do wonder what the purchase motivation is for the average player, particularly one that has an Huggin, Commando or Oxide. Maybe to play a Spider with SRMs?

I'd have rather have had the Raptor, it's one of the IS's first Omni's. Now that would have been great, instead we get a commando look alike with a thing for missiles. Rather disappointed.

I'm a dedicated light pilot and you know it's bad when some one like me says what a piece of junk. I've ran the huggin and oxide and ammo dependent lights suck in the same category as the all lrm with no back up weapons atlas sucking. At least the huggin and oxide have decent speed but only 97kph?

I'll c-bill it later this year when I've gotten more work and a new gaming rig. Kudos on the hero paint job though.

Looks pretty recognizable to me

Less of a beer-belly on the MWO one, though.

Same Engine Cap as the Spiders.
Unless you're planning on running them stock for some bloody reason...

This mech isn't just a Spider with SRMs though, between the 10F and 11A it is a better Spider.

You do know you can change the engine right? It has the same engine cap as the Spider

If it has Spider and Artic Cheater level hitboxes. Mostly torso mounted weapon, so you can strip arm armor. It could be viable.

I love the look. Especially with the collectors camo. Makes me think of a lightweight fighter with his hands at his sides, waiting for you take a swing, so he can clock you.

Edit: They just better not get nutty and give it streak quirks. Looking at the loyalty blackjack! You know what you did PGI! And if you want to force IS streaks, at least give more than 10% cooldown.

It's skinnier than I thought it would be. Hopefully the Volumetric Gods are kind to it.
