Turrets: Fixed an issue where Turrets would fire at Enemy UAVs. Turrets should only have been targeting Enemy 'Mechs.

No wonder I always considered Turrets as better Team Players. Posted Image

But it will, and it's not tiny. It completely removes Gauss-whammys from the game.

What's more importantly tho, it shows how clueless PGI are when it comes to faction balance. IS needed buffs across the line, and what do they do? Nerf the only contender IS has, and don't touch NGR and TBR which are the two best heavies in the game. Before this nerf, and even more after the nerf. Just ******* clueless.

Have you played any recent FP matches? In my recent experience there I'd be hard pressed to say that the IS mechs are lacking in comparison to the clan mechs these days. The Warhammer is definitely one of the mech's they've got leading that charge along with the grasshopper and battlemaster. The clans can't even claim a range advantage anymore when playing on polar highlands. If we take an objective look at the amount of positive quirks and buffed armor and side torsos the IS mechs have received, I'd say its really just coming down to a matter of what range people are choosing to fight at and how smart people are playing to determine a winner. Those short laser burn times coupled with the tankiness provided to help the IS out have done a whole lot to level the playing field, and now the new effects on lost clan xl is going to push that even farther.

I for one, am happy that we are seeing more mechs being nerfed mildly than seeing a whole lot buffed so that we can maintain TTK and prevent power creep.

Sure... I will totally agree with that trade, Omnimechs are demolished and you cant change Omnipods but can use a STD, isXL is not insta-death. oh wait... your entire premise is garbage and you did not think it out at all, did you?

Oh i did, here's the thought process :

XL or STD choice - do i get to pick? Yes/No?

But...if we go with your approach of removing the option to swap omnipods, that's just a clan battlemech isnt it? I do like my Orions and Marauders. Fine with it.

TBH, i'm fine with IS having insta ST death, it ain't that bad. You make the trade of durability for firepower. Clans don't even get a choice.

Even if you had a choice, either way is not instant death w/loss of one side torso though, it would be to survive to a stick or still live with a penalty and still keep going, that is the point.

I will not spend a shekel anymore. ALL mechs that I bought for real money in 2016 were dramatically nerfed. Wish I could request refund

Another moronic "balance pass" from PGI. First they reduce the Clans' dropdeck tonnage so that Stormcrows are no longer allowed in scouting, and now they're killing Hunchback IIC - one of the few scouting-viable mechs the Clans have remaining, all based on some bullsh*t argument about jump sniping. Frankly, I can't remember when I last saw a Hunchie IIC poptarting, and in any event a Nova or a Shadowcat can poptart at least as good if not better. But hell, PGI knows better, as usual...

Well then you don't play enough. I see them about 1 game in 5 doing the ERPPC poptart routine.

I see Hunchback IIC Mechs poptarting all the time, but maybe because that's because I fight people who are actually good at the game. Maybe the MM is just nuckin futz.

The problem with PGI's approach to combating poptarting is that they don't have a way to dynamically penalize movement as a function of the number of JJ installed. If they did, then non-JJ hunchies could avid the penalty that's aimed at their jumping brethren.

Now we have a real killer out there - be aware Mechwarriors !

And it's so scary that it warrants a blanket nerf of Hunchback IICs? Come on, NVA-A is a better poptart at the same tonnage because of the PPC quirks. And the reqular HBK-IIC can't even carry peeps, yet it got nerfed together with the A and C variants. What, they're now afraid of dual gauss Hunchie poptarts?

What you say about the ISXL makes no sense at all.

Clan battlemechs are only enhanced by dropping an XL(and why wouldnt you, all the benefits of XL with no insta death) in them and the only people I have seen using clan standards are potato's with bad builds.

So while Clans get to keep their survivable ST loss engines IS dont get survivable ST loss engines due to fear of offensive boost.

Let me give you a tip PGI, clans already have all that and with more battlemechs for clans on the way as you advance the timeline the gap will only widen. Think about it for just one second.

Clan lights, dont die on ST loss, IS light, need to put in an XL for the speed and weaponry but die due to ST loss, where is the parity there?

Please repeat that thing you told, when you will put a IS Light Engine from the 3060 Timeline in your Mechs and get the 40% upgrade in heat, like the clans do now. That will be fun! I can hear your crying at present already.

Check the picture, I play both sides, the 20% nerf on heat is nothing compared to death on ST loss. Just another one eyed loyalist with no idea about balance.

Nah, mech for mech the clans have the better mechs, you can't draw conclusions from FP, especially not when tonnage handicaps are in play.

Mech for mech, clans have the two best assaults, the two-three best heavies, the one-two best mediums and the best light. The WHM was the only IS heavy contender at all, I would rank it 3rd or 4th best heavy in the game. No reason what so ever to nerf it.

The only balance I disagree with are those to the Shadow Cat. They won't break the mech or make it unusable, but they are unnecessary.

Summoner nerfs were justified; the dual ER PPC nipple builds will still be good, just not utterly broken overpowered like now.
