When will you guys learn to stop expecting any sensible balance from these clowns?

It hasn't happened before. So it's surely not going to happen in this, the final year of MWO.

Wow, really. But I guess you must know more than meta mechs who say different.

The buff is coming, guys. The Fire Javelin! 7 SPLas on a 30-ton mech neatly sidesteps those pesky rescale issues. Posted Image

Anyone done the math so far? 7SPL strongest variant? If so, we have the answer as to why PGI doesn't want us to have a decent 35 ton IS light at hand...

..would you like to buy a mechpack? (and don't forget to buy the reinforcement!)

sales data probs shos people be buying 100ton clan assault mechs for $20 as a no brainer and skipping those 40 ton vipers for the same price, when they stop the single mech pack model they are going to be sliding in the light mech paywall to get to the heavier classes again.

I vote we remove the 40kph leg cap. This will help all lights.

The PotatoWarriors out there probably can't handle the concept of trying to hit a light moving at ~70 kph (assuming the old half speed system).

I think some people are still having trouble with the "torso twist, drive, and shoot mechs" thing. That chewing bubble gum and walking is hard yo.

Because the vindicator is in need of a nerf before that.

Just like the Scat.. gotta nerf all the already fragile and mediocre things. Wonderful.

Last night, I saw the Vindi-hero with 2 CERPPC... not the 1AA with all the PPC quirks... the Vindi-hero. Just had to be the Vindicator that didn't have any PPC velocity quirks.

It's just so trigger worthy.

Yup, not saying it outperforms those "gid gud" kodiaks. But seeing a vindi breaking 800+ damage in t1 games is a thing now.
Yes, it's mostly the pilot working dem quirks but still, before that, vindis were kind of borderline masochistic.

TBH, I have a better chance to seeing unicorns in Mist Lynxes poking the rear of our balance overlord... resulting in a subsequent nerf.

The Firestarter had its time. How about focusing on mechs that have never had their day like the Vindicator?

all my Vindis have a K/D of over 2 except the 1AA which is 1.41, they've never been terrible just not popular

Vindis are the epitome of mediocrity. The fact that Firestarters are even being compared to Vindis should be telling a lot...

..about lore?

Vindicators are supposed to be the liao workhorse.
Firestarters are supposed to combat infantry and wood.. literally wood.

The fact that Firestarters are even remotely effective in 'mech to 'mech combat is a rather unique approch by MWO.

I say remove all 35 tonners since, they can't be useful in the game other than being easy points for heavies with more agilty. It's to the point I rather play my Linebackers more than any 35 tonner in my garage seeing it can out turn, accel, and decel than most lights.

If PGI actually are about that weight class, give all 35 tonners a 40-60% agilty boost, and 20-35% armor boost to help them survive in a fight.

Or not make them Giga-sized

I guess we're beyond that point.

The only way to make those mechs work is to reverse how flamers work. You know, instead of over heating and damaging the mech using them they should do that to the enemy mech. But I guess you could technically get away with suicide-by-flamer-heat by pretending to attempt to overheat an enemy mech and you just happen to forget you have over ride turned on.
