That's cool OP. I'll still buy mech packs because. I still love playing this game. As a matter of fact, I just bought the Huntsman. However, I've been blessed with a functional brain and intend on using it to adapt to the changes the future may bring.
You should try it sometime.
You should try it sometime.
Good for you. I do have a functional brain and have enough common sense to stop patronizing bad decisions. I'll give them another chance when they decide to fix what initially wasn't broken to begin with. I'm not telling you what you can and can't do with your money.

To the tiny extent to which our feedback matters to PGI, I think it's important to be on point.
This should not be a crusade against nerfs. You can't balance a PVP game without ever using nerfs directly or indirectly, it's not possible. When people complain about nerfs specifically, Russ & Co will rightfully dismiss those people as morons.
In this case, I think you are aware that the real problem is dartboard balancing and PGI not really giving proper explanations about what their philosophy is. They're giving some bad explanations about how the SHC and SMN are now overperforming, but without any kind of context or further explanation, this almost makes things worse.
So I think it's important (again, to the extent that our feedback serves a purpose) to be clear that the issue is PGI's really weird decisions, not the nerfing per se.
I will admit I was tired when I made this thread. It was 2:30 AM and had trouble getting to sleep. If Russ decides to arrogantly label his own customers as morons (while in reality they are trying to provide constructive criticism especially when multiple people are reporting about it), then every potential customer needs to know about this before they spend a single dollar on this game. My main complaint with PGI is that they could at least attempt better communication with their playerbase, but refuse to do so. They need some kind of foundation with what the heck they are doing with this game and just stick to it.
I preordered the IS marauder pack from back then because I thought town halls were routine and a honest attempt to reach out to the players. When Russ said "We will stand by our product and we have lawyers on standby if Harmony Gold decides to harass us" while also supporting the return of the unseens, I was more than happy to throw my hard earned money at them. That gave me hope in the return of more future IIC mechs. Now we have vague reports about what mechs are coming next, a wasted slot on February clan heros (which should have been released initially with the mechs to begin with), suggest useful mechs but get ignored completely, and now these bizarre band aid nerfs that further proves PGI doesn't know wtf they are doing?

And myself and others are discussing those things in those threads. Or I was, anyway. Don't think I have much more to say on those matters (I admittedly only play one of the mechs being balanced, so what I can say is limited). Why would we need to discuss it in another 'I quit' thread which, by the way, is actually against the CoC.
Perhaps more threads like these are needed to wake PGI up (even if my point wasn't too clear with rambling). Perhaps I don't want a potentially good mechwarrior game going by the wayside until another license renewall. Or perhaps we are being milked to the very last cent until PGI gives us the slip with the last cash grab that is MW5 Mercs until they lose rights to the license. I just don't know anymore.
