With PGI, you never know.. you get up some day and find yourself banned (and there is no turning back after that).
Until there is an absolute official post regarding sound mods, I'd avoid them.
Well I did hear from somewhere they said you wouldn't get banned for those.. but didn't have an actual source. But sean lang uses them as do many others.
But those aren't really my concern.. which is the texture options you can turn off how your GPU renders them and it removes every bit of grain and the view distance is lol, and mech pop out the screen in flat colors like they almost glow, which aparently support said is perfectly fine lmao

Already been discussed. they are allowed. and, as a old mod, yes, they are. just don't touch anything that changes the game visually or that gives an advantage over others and you're fine.
Best one for me would be mw3. the LBs and UACs sound awesome. Lasers have that old school pew pew to them too.

Russ essentially stated that they're never going to endorse any sound pack but they're also not going to go looking for people who use them.

IIRC they're also A-Okay with stuff like SweetFX.

You can fix the Warhorn issue by just not installing one of the specific .pak files. I experimented around and have the MW3 sound pack+warhorns working now.

in the game files sure. But it's almost moot when you are allowed to manipulate how your GPU renders textures to do things almost as good

The very definition of hacking. This topic isn't about that. I don't agree with it but this can get the topic locked.
There is to much cheating going on. Overwatch has banned 10,000 accounts so far. I think it was released to players less than a year ago. Heard this on the latest Worth A Buy on youtube.

It would be interesting to see game developers counter this by working with GPU companies to lock settings on the video card so that it doesn't happen. I think it's possible. not too sure.
Anyways.
I'm hoping to learn the ways on how to make more packs.... but it's a thing that takes time. and sometimes I don't have time :C

If MW 5 is really good and has a lot of game play then I will mod the heck out of that. But not an online game.

SweetFX is like seeing in sunlight after being in a closet all day. The game looks so much better. During MWOWC, it was seriously painful to have to look at the super drab tourney client (even though the game play was way better).

Gee thanks for making me sad from all the nostalgic feels, also the TTK was soo long back then, I'd almost forgotten.
Also can someone post links to the MW2/MW3/MW4 sound packs files that would be nice, thanks.

Way to be "helpful", Mechwarrior. I guess someone can't take the high road and absolutely has to be that guy. *facepalm*
I was asking for a forum post, not a tweet. While the end result may be the same, it wouldn't hurt for him to post one, don't you think?
