I think it'd be pretty cool but what do you guys think?

How would it work? Increased mobility all around when the heat reaches certain threshold? Since TSM is bulkier than regular myomer, how would that be balanced in game?

I dont think PGI could bring that into the game, coding is lostech.

Equipment that runs best when at a high heat threshold? I predict more high heat alpha builds that suddenly gain the ability to disengage and cool off far easier... hrm.

Well, considering half the benefit of the thing is worthless unless melee is added, and the other half is pretty OP, I'm only meh.

I mentioned it in another thread. As far as bulk, it's just one slot in the arms, legs, and side torsos, so it's not something that needs excessive amounts of space. That being said, much of the benefit of TSM is in the ability to double your melee damage, as the speed bonus is lost once your heat exceeds a certain threshold (in TT anyway.) It might work in MWO due to there being no mobility penalties for running excessively hot. (there probably should be.) If we ever get melee, I could see it considered though.

1. Yes

2. It takes 6 slots to equip in TT I believe

Well like any other piece of equipment it could be equipped if you choose to.

After some thought I think TSM would buff energy boats a bit too much so this might not be a good idea unless the threshold to get the benefit.

It would be funny to see mechs carry 1 flamer to keep their speed up at least.

Or, make it a flat percentage boost regardless of heat?

Everybody knows you run faster with the knife flamer...

Right what I meant to write was the heat threshold for the TSM to kick in should be fairly high and also the boost should be as you said.

Probably not in PGI's coding skills. Can i interest you in a mech pack though?

If they can figure out the code for it. I think it could be balanced. If the threshold is high enough and the bonus is lower than MASC overall it won't be OP.

Agreed. If those two things are true then it should be fine. Of course, it also needs to be good enough to be worth taking.
