Purifier seems clearly a better mech, but only a select few can obtain it?

While inferior to a number of other lights and almost everything outside of its weight class, the Purifier is still by far the strongest Kit Fox variant. The strongest variant being pay-only is a pretty slimy business practice even if it's still not near the strongest in the whole class.

I blame the fact that they decided to give "hero" omnimechs unique pods.
They should've just given them a set of different "standard" pods and just give the CT a +30% cbill boost plus the camo pattern.
KitFox is not the first and won't be the last, where the "hero" pods are superior or allow for building a superior mech.

No need for the 4UAC5 king crab-- make room for the 8 UAC2 dire wolf, please.

The Heroes for Warhammer, Marauder and Jenner come to mind. The omnipods available from the Dire Whale, Viper and Summoners also cross the P2W line in my view.
It's a shame to see them give up on their principles with decisions like these. I know they have to make money, but the P2W path is a poor way to do it.
I've also noticed that in many of the new packs they put the more interesting/useful variants that have either ECM, jump jets, higher engine caps etc in the 'reinforcement' pack to try and gouge another $20 on top of the already fairly steep base pack price.

This is why I didn't buy their Roughneck. The variant I'm interested in is behind the "reinforcements" paywall. Sorry, but if I can't get what I want out of a standard pack then you don't get my money.

I have taken the same attitude.
I spent quite a bit on this game over the years, and I wouldn't mind adding to that total.
However, I absolutely refuse to be gouged. So my spending last year was minimal.

When did cUAC/2 get a recent buff? I know the LBX2 and the CAC/2 got a heat buff, but the UAC/2 still generate 0.8 heat per shot.

Warhammer and Marauder heroes? Seriously, I run both and consider the standard non-hero versions superior by a considerable margin.
That aside, so what? Everybody does realize that PGI is a business and all needs to make a profit?

The jam time was reduced to 3 seconds from 5 seconds which is significant when boating that many UAC2s.

The jam mechanics changed on UACs a couple patches ago. UAC2s got a dps buff because the jam length is much lower than it was before, and also why when a 20 jams you are waiting half an hour for it to unjam..

The Bounty Hunter has +20% range on medium lasers along with another 10% from a module. it's absolutely a devastating mech with 3LPLs + 4 medium lasers and is one of the best laser vomit platforms for IS after the black knight nerfs

oK....you're wrong.
Anyone can obtain the purifier for $10. That's not "a select few".

Actually anyone with ten buck can get one.... If you live in a world where that is a select few I am hoping the World Help Organization finds you soon.
