With this sale and the upcoming skill tree changes i'm only getting one chassis. My idea was to get a Ebon Jag and either a Mad Dog or a Stormcrow,.

I have the Ebon but now can't make up my mind between the Mad Dog or the Stormcrow.

Stormcrow is by far more versatile. MadDog is mostly (if not exclusively) a missile boat (albeit a solid one).

No clue what to do with for the Stormcrow.

SRM2s are generally useless. They have a low alpha which usually is a bad thing because in order to use the DPS on your fast-firing weapons you need to face the enemy all the time, which in turn makes it harder for you to spread the damage over your mech. If you want a brawler MDD I'd rather suggest something like this ... or this if you are feeling ballzy.

The former is a one-sided brawler, i.e. you don't really need that left side of your mech and can tank damage using it, runs rather cool, have good weapon synergy etc. The latter is an all-in kinda brawler that runs really hot but can take out pretty much anything in just 2-3 shots.

Your options are vast in fact.
- 5SRM6 brawler
- 5SSRM6 light hunter (one of the best if not "the" best in business)
- your typical LPLs+MLs laservomit
- 12-13 SPL pulse-brawler
- ERPPCs / ERPPC+Gauss fast sniper
- Gauss+MLs mid-range trader
- 3LPL / 4ERLL mid-long range for long range maps in FactionPlay
- plenty of mixed builds of all kinds (I'm a min-maxing guy so don't use em myself)

MadDog is in my opinion more limited. It lacks energy hardpoints to make a solid laserboat out of it and lacks tonnage to make good use of heavy ballitics on it as well. Also harder to spread damage as side torsoes are quite big, especially when looking from the side. Stormcrow on the other hand spreads the damage quite well and has a rather good hard-to-hit-exactly-where-you-want profile.

I also tried maddog as brawler once ... however it felt so fragile, it now occupies a mechbay as a 3xLRM15 artemis which i rarely use because when I lurm ... i do it awesome.

When thinking of clan my fav is a simple Shadowcat with ECM + 2 LPL

Stormcrow is so mainstream - nah!
