In MWO we have no idea (unless we know/recognise the pilot name) what tier or how experienced our teammates or enemies are... I wish we did know (so that people could help out the newer players and the unfortunate pilots that drop in higher tier matches than what they are)... TBH I don't consider potato calling as particularly offensive (especially for an online game)...
Be careful what you wish for. In other games - ones full of hyper-competitive sociopaths - systems that show a person's skill level in game just results in the thugs team-killing the "lesser" or new players, or at least spamming insulting idiocy at them all match. Sadly, many people are far too immature to even properly shoot pixels on a screen in the company of other people without behaving like a total arse-hat.

This game isn't twitchy nor is it anything like CoD. Put the pipe down.
Twitchy is a relative term. Compared to CoD, it's not. Compared to, say, World of Warships, it is. Compared to its own past, with lower alphas and higher time to kill, it is certainly more "twitchy" than it was.
