Shipping the stein to central EU apparently costs $44 - which is more than the stein itself... really? *sadface*

I think I might spring for the coasters. I actually use coasters a lot when it gets crazy humid here. I'm just worried they're made out of cardboard & won't survive long.

I ship abroad once a week and that's actually not a bad shipping price.

They're a metal top and a cork bottom -- definitely not the cardboard coasters you get at a pub.

Reading is not your strength, huh?
It is clearly written that this stuff comes from HBS (Harebrained Shemes) who work on a BattleTech Game as well and not from PGI. This stuff has nothing to do with MWO. Its is just a kind reminder to get some merch from a companioned enterprise.

Keep in mind I have been away from MWO for 98% of the past couple years and am only just seriously returning. But from what Ive read so far it seems that PGI is sharing their MWO art assets, and based on the fact that they are also promoting this merchandise, it kinda makes me think they also get a cut of the sales. Do you/anyone else actually have any information regarding this one way or another?

Does anyone have a link to the previous crowd funding items? Id like to see what I missed.

I am excited about the stein - coffee in the morning and beer at night.

However, 44 USD of international shipping is a lot. DHL costs less.

USA dudes, get it!!

As far as I know there is a partnership between PGI and HBS. HBS is allowed to use the MWO Mech Models in their Battletech game. This will save a lot of development time and it will assure some continuity within the games. And to be honest the MWO Mechs are pretty nice. So it is not really necessary to create new models.

But the merchandise thing is just only initiated by HBS. That PGI promoting this is just a favor to reach more Mechwarrior and Battletech fans. The two companys are not competitors. The work together in the same game universe but on different games.

Concerning the first round of merchandising you didn't miss anything cause there were not enough orders to start the production so no one get any merch.
But if you want to know what was on table for the first round here it is.

I find it funny that they included the timber wolf, errr, mad cat coaster as you free birth scum call it and clans are not going to be in the game. No thanks, I don't want a stein with an atlas head on it. You want to sell me a stein put the clan wolf symbol on it or a wolf head on the top. And I will be waiting until you add clans to the game before getting it also. On the bright side you should have the bugs out of the game when/if you put the clans in the game.

The style of the coaster art is very nice. Yet I'm not a big Sol7 enthusiast and more on the warfare aspect (appropriately camouflaged Mechs and faction/unit dekkels, here and there a pinup or marrowy personal inscription). The Stein or as we Steiners call it "Bierkrug" also looks good, yet I drink my beer out of bottles and do not use coasters.

Still I think this offer is an improvement und hope this campaign is successfull so people who want those items will get them.

Best regards and keep up the good work, I think you're on the right way.

Good news the shipping was lowered for Germany!

For some Asian countries:
Taiwan: 44 USD QQ
Hong Kong: 23 USD
Japan: 34 USD
South Korea: 23 USD
China 34 USD
Phillipines: 44 USD

TL:DR The shipping fees are not fair. It's like a default 44 USD for everyone, then they changed the prices for popular countries.
