anyone ever play the game "RISK"

this was a global conflict that was fun
each round you received pay in the form of armies (rearm)
or your base pay, now the better you did the more you got paid
it also had balance since the 6 sided dice and the physics around it applied to both sides
no computer tweaking one side over the other
so in game economy can be done but you would have to want to do it
and it has to be fun otherwise player wont want to do it
I would say it would need to be voluntary also now e-peen something only you and or your team/unit see's
so
1) voluntary (and not a sucker punch that is not using you for cannon fodder for other people)
2)you get a base amount sort of like military pay
3)now that you have FP money well you need something to spend it on
4) economy need items in FP to spend your FP money on
5) these might be movement, jump ships, drop ships, base defense, time factor multiplier
NBT has started something along these lines
but I recommend not getting bogged down with repair and rearm as most people think of it but
instead a timer that it takes to repair your Mech
you don't want it to detailed or people will spend to much time protecting there gold Mechs
or shooting there friends in the back
just a timer to allow your Mech to be repaired
now you can speed up the timer if you win
so I might not call it R&R but some type of MWO FP economy
but you almost have to have Jump ships (something you spend money on)
and star lanes (to limit where and when you expend your forces)
6)planetary value would be needed (industrial repair facility now that's something to fight for)
it could be done
just a few thoughts

Play NBT, unfortunately none of this stuff is happening in the abandoned, deprecated game mode that is Faction Play.

Repair and Rearm would add too much complexity to the game that is already unnecessarily complex just get into a match.
And getting PGI to code the interface and rules would be a disaster.

Until the despairity between Clan and inner sphere is balnced to where it's actually one on one in brawls nothing will ever change. also spawn camping needs to be punished, either dropships need to kill spawn camping mechs or dropping mechs need temporary invulnerability.

Clan and IS balance is about as good as it has every been. I switch between the two often now.
Spawn camping? Been years now i havn't played cw lol. Was never that big of an issue years ago . If you got over run the other team was better than you anyway.
Really I wanted them to allow for more than one drop area like every other game but this takes programming and programming is hard.
