The Black Knight was nerfed again. You are never getting those bonuses back.
Yes, you can add bonuses via weapon skills. Guess what? So can everybody else.
So in relation, you are worse off than before. Well, at least in relation to Clan mechs, because pretty much all other IS mechs got nerfed, too.

Because the quirks you listed are also most likely being packed by the other meta mech builds.

How is that, really? When PGI castrated the BK it was its offensive power more than its defensive/structural quirks.

It got scaled up (it got bigger), and as a consequence simply became less durable.

So...no. My BJ-1X looks god-like on PTS, but then I remember that everybody else is tougher now, too, so net gain of zero.
