Just trying to get some ideas on different loudouts and mechs that are fun yet not too meta or expensive.

Pretty much anything that can carry at least 3 AC/s and a backup weapon is good enough for me. But if you want a specific mech... Is the Adder meta right now? 'Cause the Adder Prime is the best

My old meta shadow hawk with 3 erllas and a 350 or 3lplas and a 300.

It is still second tier, but I think it underlines a point.

Gotta get those extra C-Bills

HThe TBT-7K imho is one of the worst Mech/variant out there, but this build seems to work when done properly

My inner sphere mechs.

No, but seriously, folks... my favourite non-meta mech is probably my Gauss+ECM Shadow cat.

I love my Yen Lo Wang. It does quite well in scouting.

I also really enjoy with my double AC2 Plink Panther, dumb as it may be. It's really fun in 4 v 4 on the PTS

Heh, depends what's defined meta. Some players like to call everything meta :D Oh well. Got couple of them. Cicada 3M with uAC/5 and 4 medium lasers, Hunchback 4P Swayback and Centurion AH with AC/20 and 2 SRM4s. Other mechs are more or less meta that I enjoy.

Not really sure of how the Term Meta is applied within MWO but I enjoy my Cyclops 10-Q with 6 sets of SRM 4's and an extra SRM 2. Along with 3 Medium Lasers for backup. It's an up close and personal build which can be devastating for the enemy. But it can also be really bad for me. I am in a giant bulky assault. I'm a huge easy target.

The 10-Q should be used with Lrms. But we're talking about Non Meta builds right

If the Cyclops 10-Q is too Meta for you then I would suggest this.

One of my most comfortable builds. An Ebon Jag A variant. The three ballistics. Duall USC 10s. Or triple Uac 2's or 5's if you can fit them. Putting duall Gauss on it is also rewarding. But don't forget to put some lasers on there. You will Jam with those UACs. And they will Jam when you need them most guaranteed.

Or go all the way.

Try a shadowhawk or a Wolverine and even go more underdog and jump in a Victor. Wooo

Mist Lynx.

It is punishing to learn to play, but pure joy once you do. Kind of like how the Locust used to be.

Also use this but with SRM2 instead for more cooling and focus damage on a single part. Tested it on PTS yesterday, it got nerfed, like many others I guess. I liked it so much, maybe for a good reason. Well kept secret. Play it now before it's too late! Posted Image
