I tried to recreate my LRM Awesome with the new system.
Before: 15% missile CD, 15% LRM15 CD, 10% LRM15 CD module
Now: 10% m CD, 10% LRM15 CD, 5% LRM skilltree
BUT I got way more infotech and durability with it worth 6 or 7 modules.
Its also way saver to invest in info & defensive skills, till you may want to change the weapon loadout.

BASELINE: Focus on Info and defensive to get the most sustained boni.

Same with the Thunderbolt-9SE, the defensive skills make much more sence than any other ones.
In case of the 9SE puls laser is the exception, but you can only afford to skill ONE weapon system partialy to get the important stuff.

I also get the feeling that most people just slap on more armor/structure then use weapon skills.
Just my impression but I also found myself, running mixed loadouts to just skill one weapons tree half, for example just laser cooldown+duration but leave out the rest to save points for armor/structure and radar-dep/sonar.
Fights get longer that way, what is kinda good, I guess?

I have the same impression! Nad its WAY cheaper than before!
