Any list that has Neverwinter (In fact any game owned by Perfect world Entertainment) is not credible. PWE buys out all the failing F2P games, places them on life support to suck as much money as they can from the player base.

This list invalid because Supernova is somehow listed on there. That game has literally been 100% completely dead, unsupported, and unplayable (no servers) for nearly a year.

Winning Putt is on page one? There some BS stink on this.

As for MWO beign page two I can understand that. There are a lot of fun games out there and page 2 is respectable. But agian Winning Putt page 1????

A line from their review of Winning Putt, "And a man with a really nice voice gently encourages you throughout - something which, frankly, more games should have."

If you need a hand holding to play through an online game then online gaming isn't for you.

I think they are right. I mean a nice soothing voice telling me "Slowly insert the dirk between the third or fourth rib" would definitely help in some games. Get rid of the angry clanner and give me Morgan Freeman already.

More than a solid game at this point. It deserves it.

MechWarrior Online should be at the very top of that list. Yes it could be WAY better, but Mechwarrior is the best of that group everything considered. Easily. To bad the noobs at PC gamer got paid off or don't know better.

MechWarrior Online is still being built from the ground up. An actual mech/skill tree is finally being added! Its got a ways to go until its a full game and the competition on that list is going no where. One or two of those could have been amazing, but nope. Garbage or at least not in the same league as this game, but some of those are out right garbage.

If I had it my way it would be on the top 10 free to play games. Maybe not the number 1 but at least top ten.

I don't even blame them for talking money, but that's what they are doing. MechWarrior should be top 10 easily and in fact those games are not ranked by numbers. This game is still being built is the main thing.

mwo's problem is unenthusiastic devs.
sheer incompetence can be tolerated only soo much.

That's probably one of the lamest things I've ever read. Have you ever even been part of the software/dev cycle? Have you even ever programmed?!

Programming a game is a tough but one this big? Nightmare mode.
Also imagine if someone said, here's a cheap crappy car, now get it to be the fastest thing on the planet that everyone will love and pay to see race. GGwpclothes.

I'd rather blame management for quality control as I believe most management in most companies end up being talkers and not ones to deliver results.

Please don't blame the poor guys sweating it out in 24/hr shifts, erasing their finger prints from typing so much, just to give you some extra features. I've seen some incredible things when I worked at SEGA, and heard more from those who went to other companies.

I can't really agree with that list... Especially putting neverwinter as high as it is.

I played that for quite some time, and while being an OK game, i certainly wouldn't rank it as high as they did.

Dungeons in that game got exploited so heavily (in terms of clipping through walls etc to skip like 80% of the dungeons) that you actually got kicked from public groups if you asked about doing any dungeon legally instead of exploiting the living hell out of it.

Naturally, the devs pretty much didn't give a flying f*ck about all dungeons getting abused massively (we are talking about 1+ hour dungeons getting done in like 5 mins) and it took them months to fix any of the expoits that were generally known and used by everyone (as i said, to the extent of getting kicked if you asked about playing without exploits)

I stopped playing that game because i grew tired of walking past enemies outside of dungeon walls, on top of it, under it, glitching bosses into suiciding, killing bosses from outside of the battle area, jumping through holes in textures to respawn right infront of the dungeon boss etc. etc.

Probably many of us are Battletech lovers, TT players, or fans of the lore.
We know what to expect from a Mechwarrior game and we tend to look at the flaws or the balance problems or the slow, bumpy ride this game has done to be what it is now.

But i see people that knew nothing about Battletech crying tears of joy looking at something different from: "no matter where you shoot it will lose point from a general health counter" or "ten enemies were piloting the same thing i am but they are all different from mine".

We can give credits to PGI for making a MW game, or to FASA for inventing the rules, but MWO is a very cool and entertaining game overall.

The sad thing is, I am pretty sure you actually are convinced this is true.

"An actual mech/skill tree is finally being added!" Yay, a skill tree! Finally! After 5 years of development! And it's still basically only the same placeholder as before, just converted into a node-system.
Back in 2012, MWO could have been great. Today? It's only an uninspired arena shooter without any depth. Is it fun? To some people certainly, but it is a great game? Regarding the time and money put into, not by a far fetch.

Holy Crap. I am not much of a gamer but I am a sucker for nostalgia. I may have to give some of those other titles a look after PGI drives me off. Thanks for the link, it sure opened up some additional time wasting possibilities for me.
