Greetings MechWarriors. Today I have a simple idea. After reviewing the numerous complaint threads about the cost of the new skill tree and certain players being unable to re-master all 200+ of their mechs (and why do you have 200+ mechs? Do you even play more than 20 regularly?) I have thought of an innovative solution that will generate additional income for PGI, making this new system much more profitable for them, while also eliminating the cost in C-Bills.

Let's charge a small amount, say, 5 MC per 1 Skill Node. Mastering a mech will only cost 455 MC each. That means that you only need to invest another $400+ USD into the game to re-master your entire stable of mechs.

This will undoubtedly be OK with Whales, some of whom have purchased a single gold mech for over $500 and haven't piloted the ugly thing since. Despite all the dust they've collected, they still shines a bright gold.

Some of you might not like the thought of spending that much money on a game but ask yourself this. If we don't fund this game then how will Russ renovate PGI Headquarters again AND have enough money for new expresso machines? They can't!

Thank you for your feedback. The original cost of respec was too high and should be reduced by about 20%. (Let's be honest. PGI will probably say something like this. Also, where's my hate gif?)

You're probably new here so your confusion is understandable. Perhaps I do border on the realm of trolling but my topics of that nature are designed to invoke laughter and bemusement in the reader, not be taken as a genuine proposal and conjure up rage or hatred.

Me too... which can only mean that a moderator had to of read this and may've reported the suggestion to PGI.

I should be worried about this but I'm not.

Actually, that way I look at it MGs shouldn't be in the skill tree. Let them be buffed as if they were, to remain useful, and you'll get buffed MGs again without having to spend a single C-Bill to upgrade them!

This already exists for removing nodes.

Click the left side of the node to pay 10 MC to remove a node.
Click on the right side of the node to pay 25k C-Bills to remove a node.

For adding nodes it's currently GXP / XP. And you can buy C-Bills for MC or $$$ already.

What is this seriousness? :P

Yes to buffing the mg weapon class... but i did expect to see them somewhere in skill trees.

I'd be careful what you wish for! PGI may nerf Machine Guns again because "Well, now they're in the skill tree so this seems fine. We can't see the return of the 6 MG Spider, can we? That beast is devastating to Atlases back!"

Also. I think everyone will like the next Skill Tree PTS. Posted Image

This already exists to some extent. I can respec the mech just as the system demands (Or experence up my old mechs) by converting xp to gxp from older mechs. Then i use the gXP to expernece up the mechs.

Another idea could be tree "unlocking". Every tree is locked and you can't spend a single skill point until you invest MC to unlock it and allows you to spend your points. Completely eliminate the C-Bill cost.
